What i love about this is that it treats Happy Appy less like the generic "evil killer kids character" to a benevolent being who travels to peoples places to help them feel fulfilled. Its absolutely creepy and would be terrifying to see someone teleport to my house and try to teach my life lessons, but at the same time its weirdly wholesome.

This makes him feel less like a horror villain or monster, but one of those supporting characters who really havee the best of intentions, but you never quite trust fully because there's just always something unsettling about them that is never revealed

I think we found a new genre: psychological horror bait. When you expect dark undertones, mild violence and jumpscares from an unsettling video... You get hit with the happiness of subverted expectations.

I love the fact that vibing managed to make a trollpasta literally intended to not be scary into something both extremely wholesome and ever so slightly unnerving with the visuals and sounds without relying on any heavy violence. Amazing work as always

This video is oddly comforting. Appy feels like an omnipotent cursed being from hell, but one that's trying his best to bring joy.

Think what I love about this is that it feels like it recontextualizes the original Creepypasta in a way that's actually interesting because, beyond just being wholesome with a tinge of discomfort, I feel like the end result here is like... almost more somber than anything? There's a definite discomfort with how everything's animated and with the way words shift from more sinister ones to more sincere ones in a split second, but coming away from it I couldn't help but feel a really pleasant kind of sadness. Between Appy's genuine confusion and awkward reaction when first meeting this guy and being surprised he's not aware of who he is, to the almost forced "And I am happy you feel the same", I think your portrayal here is one I genuinely love: you get the impression that this version of Happy Appy isn't a malevolent, cartoonish serial killer, but a person who genuinely wants to help people but is himself frustrated and offput by the fact that this man he's helping might have bigger problems than he can immediately solve. He tries suggesting something he genuinely enjoys, or has heard other people enjoy- and in the end, when the other man doesn't verbally confirm he feels better now, you're just left with this discomfort, even though it's also tempered by a more wholesome energy. Appy didn't hurt this guy- but there's this silent, unspoken sadness that I feel on both their ends over the fact that they made a genuine effort to help this guy feel better and it doesn't seem to have fixed his problem. Sorry for the long-winded comment I'm feeling emotional tonight and the funny apple serial killer has me feeling really melancholy. This is good shit

This is easily the best Happy Appy video I've ever seen on RU-vid. No overused cliches, no "scary" endings, doesn't include a ridiculous amount of violence for scare factor, just an wholesome video that doesn't try to be scary with cheap jumpscares. We can all agree that the best part about this is the animation. It actually looks like clay animation, and I love it. It fits the creepypasta very well. I wish all Happy Appy videos were like this. You continue to become better with each video.

I love everything about this: the fucked up looking gift, the hidden frames, and the fact that we're basically left to imagine what happened to Danny. I remember reading Happy Appy when I was 9-years-old, this really sets the atmosphere. You're revitalizing the creepypasta scene with each video and I applaud you for that. Keep up the amazing work!

I'm just echoing the other comments, but I love the work you do salvaging these old stories from our collective histories. I like how though Appy is definitely a bit creepy/unnerving, the only bit that references death/murder feels like it was added by someone else. Like they're trying to tamper with or corrupt this happy figure, which... Is a neat inversion of the typical tropes of the genre. The puppets are also really high quality, they felt very real despite looking like they do.

I love this so much, you really nailed the cartoon style from the original, yet you didnt go for a too creepy route but instead of a unnerving and unsafe route. And the ending kinda made me feel bad and sad. So nice job as always Leaf.

Never believed that i'd see a Happy Appy video that could make me feel like it was real. The intro song is just like i imagined it when i read the creepypasta as a child, and Appy movements just add to the uncanny feeling. I did expect him to go nuts, but him being mostly a weird apple man with poor social kills was hilarious. Good job man!

This is actually one of the best Happy Appy creations I have seen Besides a few small details like weird editing, the subtitles changing, or audio quality, it feels like an actual Kid's Show, but with that hint of darkness And the animation gives off the vibe of Claymation

You know, I’ve got an idea for the 9/11 part of the OG story. Happy Appy gets a letter from a daughter who misses her dad, who was a NY firefighter who died on 9/11. Appy talks to her about cherishing memories of her father, and understand that grief as the natural part of accepting someone’s death. “I know it hurts, but that’s natural.” He makes a decision on joining her family on making a huge decorative poster for the NYFD to honor the lost, and gives it to them. One part she asks Appy about why those terrorists did it. He responds with, “Sadly, there are many people in this world that never feel happy. So, they decided to take out their unhappiness on other people. That is not natural. The best way to stop acts like this to understand what made you unhappy and find a way to express yourself with it without harming others.” It concludes with him saying “Even though this country has many problems, but they’re nothing compared to other places in the world. So, we be happy with what we have, here. God Bless America, our home sweet home.” It fades to an image of the poster, and reads “In loving memory of the 343 firefighters who died on that tragedy. Thank you for your service.”

I like how this actually tries to make it seem like an actual children’s show, albeit a very strange one. It’s far more interesting to have a kid’s show that seems “off” as opposed to a show unsubtly filling the screen with gore and crap like the original story.

This one was a treat to watch. I love how Appy used to hurt children in the original, but here it feels like he is genuine in his actions. There is still the horror element, but it feels like someone was trying to make something that mattered. The ending was a nice change up too. Excellent work!

I love this, it’s a lot more realistic! It’s just a kids show with a uncanny effect and mascot. Something truly scary and a lot scarier. The mascot also really well animated! Freaking awesome✨

Theory: Danny's dad is the guy at the end and is going through the 5 stages of grief, Happy Appy came to help overcome his deppresion by having him see the joy of the world. Very Wholesome ending and isn't really trying to be scary but just slightly unsetteling. 10/10

Okay but this was actually fantastic??? I remember reading happy appy back in the day and thinking it was so barebones as a creepypasta. Not only did you improve on it, you added onto it and made it your own. Also despite the creepy undertones, I find Appy's voice to be so comforting. Like a bob ross type almost.

I'm not gonna lie, I know happy appy was written to be as bad as possible but I wont lie when I say I have a soft spot for the story, even during it's most ridiculous moments. It's like a tv drama in a way and I loved imagining how all the scenes in the in universe episodes would look like in my head, and it helped that at the time, it didn't really follow all the typical trends of lost episode creepypastas at the time. But also remaking past creepy pastas like Suicide Mouse so I can be scared again from a creepy pasta I was already scared of as I was younger. I'd only seen bits and pieces of what the original creepypasta is like, so seeing it portrayed in this was is very interseting and strangely makes me feel warm and fuzzy while also feeling very uncomfortable.... It's literally Mr. Rogers or Bob Ross trying to help people be happy, but with strange moments of the text changing at certain intervals and crudely done transitions, audio glitching, and even that strange ending of a man's death revealed to us. Could this be Happy Appy's voice actor himself? The man that Happy Appy helped be happy? Someone else involved with the production? It's all so fascinating... Really well done here! :D

I legitimately want a series like this. It’s like subtly offsetting but it’s like around the memory of a fictional creator and their intentions of making a better world.

This guy loves what he does, this can be seen by the effort he puts into making every video so perfect.

Conpared to other Happy Appy videos I've seen, this is the best one I've seen. No Creppy Jumpscares, No Shock Value, No Generic "Appy Kills People", None of that. Just a wholesome good video with some corrupted text here and there. I feel like this would've actually looked like if it legit aired on Nick Jr. Overall, amazing work Leaf :)

I really like how everyone expects it to be scary and terrifying like the creepypasta, but instead has a more happier ending and a positive message. It's encouraging people to give something or do something good for someone who has nothing and that you should never have to feel sad all the time. You should always feel happy with what you have and not feel sad about not having more. I'll follow his advice and watch the sunset whenever I feel down.

Honestly, the fact that nothing deeply disturbing other than brief anomalies happened is what made this all the more terrifying than any other interpretation… Like the fact that Happy Appy just… APPEARED in Danny’s house is scary enough as it is 😅 A part of me feels like this COULD be an innocent kid’s show that just suffers from the creepy effects of the time, but those brief moments where it breaks that illusion allow me to never quite settle, but at the same time they’re not so jarring that it completely removes me from the illusion, and I can even try and explain it away as a bad effect (even though that of course isn’t the case) What I’m saying is fantastic job!! Your videos really play into that nostalgic sense of fear that I have which I feel really heightens the videos!!! :))

The fact we don’t see the guy after the change to a camera angle behind Appy kinda makes the shot a lot more eerie to me. Because it makes me wonder if Appy was successful in his mission and the guy didn’t just jump. We don’t hear a response either that confirms he actually enjoyed it. So it is kinda wholesome if Appy did but really sad if Appy was lying to himself and Appy didn’t actually succeed in his mission.
