Thank you so much. You are right in saying that many accomplished pianists may not know how to play a simple everyday song like this. You don't know how many people benefit from this lesson. You explain this extremely well, which is a skill of its own. As this song is sung by millions and, there is no doubt, that the way you have explained it will benefit many to play it too at a party.
Thank you! Yes, I think a big drawback with traditional classical piano lessons is that they omit some "real life" instances that a pianist will encounter. That is changing more and more, due to RU-vid and the availability of so many resources.
I live in Caracas, Venezuela. 82 years old. In you, I have found a very effective and charming teacher with real pedagogical skills. I needed this version of Happy Birthday. With your method, I practically got it in a few hours. Incredible for my beginner¨s level! And, what¨s more: learning English!. Thanks again.
Very Beautiful! Your tutorial is so easy to follow and beginners like me (only 74 yrs old!) find it interesting and easy. Thank you very much and God bless you!
Thank you! I'm so glad my tutorial is helping you. One of my beginner students was 80 years old when she took lessons with me, so you're starting young! :)
you're an amazing teacher, Thank you so much. Considering I don't have a tutor around to guide me. Its so nice that the world have kind people like you who likes to share their knowledge. Respect from India. Means a lot.
How beautiful you explain Happy Birthday!!! I Love it!!! I just started to know the piano, I am 65 years old, retired, so my next journey is to learn to play piano!!!! I would to see you playing claro de Luna!!!
You are Lovely piano teacher. I love the way you smile. Thank for the tutorial that easy to understand.❤️🙏. I’ve just start playing piano for 1 and a half year. Please receive my hug from Thailand.
I love your method of teaching! It is not rushed and you seem to be a very patient teacher! The notes you introduce are perfect for beginners! You are an amazing teacher!
I have been practicing this song for 4 weeks or so now. I am just starting to be able to relax into it and I find it so much easier to play when I am relaxed. When I was first starting to play, this song, I was tense and concentrating a lot on what keys I should be playing. Once it became more automatic, I was able to relax and it all became easier. :)
Very nice ! Your "Happy Birthday" rendition is my first piano song and I will play it to my mother who will be 98 years old next week !!! Thank you very much, I know this will make her very happy !!
Are you aware that your method has an important bonus included? Indeed, in addition to learning to play piano one can profit to practice English. Wonderful. Thanks. Congratulations!
Thank you for your tutorial, so easy to follow. I love the way you slowly walk step to step. Breaking down to parts is a good technique you use so the learner can follow easily. I love your way of teaching, I have no problem to learn with you. I really appreciate it.
Thanks for the easy to understand piano lesson for a beginner like me. I have compared a few piano tutorials on RU-vid, yours is one of the best. Janie from Singapore
Im always confused with when to hit left hand while hitting right hand ,not only me all the begginer im sure but your video is awesom and ah love it thank you miss plz keep it up
It's true, at first it is very confusing for most people. In my Piano Boot Camp courses I teach you not only how to read music but how to practice to get the best results. You might want to take a look.
Just in time for me to play for my Aunt's 94th birthday on 3/28/2021 (tomorrow). The only thing I would have added to this video would be at the end, you play it from start to finish. I would have loved to play it with you from start to finish. Maybe you can do an addendum?
your dedication in teaching is appreciated, without any doubt i can say that you are a good teacher. im a guitar learner and I watched the Beethoven's famous symphony. Now I m thinking that need to learn piano also. Thanks Jacob
Tomorrow is my moms birthday. I will play this song . She will be very happy . Edit : I have learnt it !! Thank you very much mam. You have helped me a lot. Edit : My mom was very Happy 😀😀
Beautiful..! you are a great teacher. Thank you so much. Dear teacher, could you make a video of how to play autumn leaves? I am eager to learn it autumn leaves!
Thank you. Im 1 year in on the keyboard. I wanted a nice "Happy Birthday" piece that has some flavor to it and your tutorial is just that. I don't have pedals though. Thanks! Just what I was looking for. I learned it in 1 day!😃
I don't really know how to read music notes. It is amazing to be able to learn how to play this beautiful birthday song and I have recorded it and sending to friends on their birthdays:) Nicer than just a greeting.. I love your tutorials, have been watching them...thank you.
Thank you very much! You are a very good piano teacher. Your tutorial is a smart and easy way to learn and understand for me! I've been watching you from Turkey. Thank you very much.
Henri Herbert. The way I learned the pedal is to think of the notes where you need to clear as pumping your foot up off the sustain pedal when you press them down. You are not allowed to lift your foot til these notes blast your foot off the pedal. And, of course, your foot falls back down on the pedal, immediately. This way your foot follows the new notes. This helped me a ton.
It will be Mothers 80th Birthday in a few days, thank you so much for helping me make it special. This was the best tutorial I found in RU-vid 😎 Super Cool! Tickling the Ivories😉😉😉
This was really good as always. One tune that I'd love to be able to play (as a beginner) is Send in the Clowns. I realize that that's not a beginner song but maybe you could make a good sounding (but not difficult) tutorial. Auld Lang Syne is another one I'd love to learn.
Thanks for uploading this tutorial! I really appreciate it and I will practice and practice until I will be able to play it!!! You are amazing! Thanks!!!
Truly indeed you are an excellent, exceptional mentor very helpful and very well explained. I'm a novice trying to learn. Just got keyboard. Thanks a million.
Really love how you teach music and how you show it step by step I seen other pianist videos but your the best of all I wish I would found you earlier your the best and keep what you doing
Great teacher! In my opinion so far....... she creates the best tutorials online in my vast searches that I've explored as an eager piano student these past few years as ive endeavored to find the fastest track to musication. AND I'm not being flattering because of her model like looks. 😍 She's adorable!
Thank you !!!!! for this beautiful tutorial. You made it so well structured.. simply the best on youtube. Keep uploading more songs :) Blessings from India
I'm happy i found this version of yours.. it's a late beginner level and yet sounds great!! I uploaded a video with my nieces birthdays in it while playing this song. I repeated the song 3 times because we actually sing 3 different stanzas in Portugal... It's also a good one to learn and apply transposition in a near future... I didn't forget to give you credit in the description. :) and i would take the opportunity to ask you if you know and have plans to make tutorials with variations of happy birthday... like jazz, ragtime, salsa, etc. Cheers from Portugal and Thank You Marina!!!
I'm so glad that you enjoyed playing this song for you niece's birthday! And thanks for giving me credit. :) No plans at this time to do any other versions of this song. Maybe in the future.
You are an excellent teacher! I am a slow learner and now I can play this with the run you taught me and some of my own improvisations! I am going to play it for my wonderful Son-In-Law's Birthday tomorrow as a gift surprise and also to accompany my family so they can sing to him Happy Birthday and I will play a Piano finale with tremolo. Is this song in the key of FMajor? T-H-A-N-K -- Y-O-U!!!!!!😆 Please teach us J. S. Bach's " Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring" and some other Christmas songs. You are such a blessing and so exceptionally gifted. Do you have RU-vid of you in concert? I would love to listen to your classicism! I am so grateful for Your pedagogy- Thanx bunches😆and bunches!
Hello Marina, thank you for this lesson.😊 I am learning on a keyboard which only has 61 keys. I am having trouble in parts two and three because I run out of keys in the left hand. Could you recommend a different set of notes to play than the Bb which would still sound good together with the right hand notes. (I can play Bb with finger number 1, but there is no Bb for finger number 5) Thank you for you advice.
thank you this is one of the best piano tutorial i have seen on u tube you have a gift for teaching , hope you keep on, would like it see ,you do in the hall of the mountain king or somewhere over the rainbow, do you know any 12 blues
I liked this tutorial very much. For a beginner, it was challenging enough without being too difficult. And it sounded good. It was the first song I tried to learn. I've been practicing this for 3 weeks now and I can play it with 100% accuracy most of the time but still with a little hesitation. That's probably a slow learning rate, but I am pleased with it.
