Beethoven: "Oh it's your birthday... Now." Chopin: "You have a birthday and you will know it." Brahms: "Daww a birthday" Bach: "Welcome to my birthday" Mozart: "WE HAVE BIRTHDAYS EVERYDAY TOGETHER"
Beethovan: Happy Birthday to me, Happy Birthday to me.... HAPPY DEATHDAY TO ME Chopin: Happy FUCKING SUGARHIGH BIRTHDAY TO YOU Brahms: Happy birthday to you... there is something wrong with your cake, IT'S MAKING ME SLEEPY Bach: Happy Birthday to you... AND I HAVE COME TO COLLECT YOUR SOUL Mozart: Happy birthday to you... now hurry up I have to play to an other place. Mozart 2: It might be your happy birthday, BUT I WILL PLAY SO HARD, PEOPLE WILL GIVE ME GIFTS THAT THEY BROUGHT FOR YOU
"We don't stop playing because we get old, we get old because we stop playing." I can't remember who said that, but it's one of the best and truest fucking things I've ever heard.
@@MrNeonerl you would be wrong... if you know Borge's work well, and play it note for note, you are copying it. If she played different songs, that would be inspired. She played the same songs, note for note.
As a grade 7 pianist, I can say that it would be a very, very long time. I'm only 2 grades from being a fully certified pianist and to be as good as she is I would need at least 3 years of constant practice after being finished those grades to even be half as good as she is! She is an absolutely stunning player and I would also love to be as good as she is!
What i love about this little show is that, for those who are not very familiar with classical music, like myself, she is able to teach us how to distinguish the different characteristics of each composer. Brilliant.
"this woman is awesome!" that is how ı thought in the middle of the video. she is so natural while playing , confident and impressive. ı am sure she practiced piano for years and this is the outcome of hard work and patience.
Beethoven: “Is the cake real? Was it ever? What is the point of a birthday if I am not existent?” Chopin: “YES THE CAKE HAS VANILLA I LOVE VANILLA!” Brahms: “Hmm? Ooh, cake, ahhhhh. Have some more, darling husband. Hmm. Nom-nom. Oh look, a unicorn is playing the piano.” Bach: “I asked for VANILLA! This is CHOCOLATE! You made a MISTAKE. GET OUT! YOU’RE NOT MY SON ANYMORE!!!” Mozart: “Anyway, did I tell you about the time I gave my dog the wrong present and he went back to the forest with it? It was a sad day because I couldn’t have the chews to myself. What IS this stuff? Beer? Well, I’ll have just a TAD bit more. A bit more, please? Thank you. Anyway, happy birthday, me, happy birthday, you...”
Chopin seriously wants you to have a HAPPY FREAKING BIRTHDAY. He is straight up trying to murder you with celebratory joy. Meanwhile, Bach is just trying murder you, period, and Beethoven wants you to be suicidally overwhelmed with the pointlessness of another year of existence.
Brilliant. And I love the way she starts each one with a familiar tune, thus making the jokes far more accessible, as people who didn't know the style of each composer could hear a sample of a tune they'd probably heard before.
Silly, funny and frivolous, yet so heart-rending and beautiful. Brilliant performance. Edit: Just got to the intoxicated Mozart part - WHAT?! This woman is so next level.
I agree, Randall. As an amateur pianist, I would have to say that most people can't play in Mozart's style while positioned normally on a bench, much less while lying supine. Much more than a "gimmick."
I'm so glad the camera was on the hands and keyboard, as my ears alone could not keep up with the beauty of this performance. Mind blowing at 2:54 and actually, everywhere! Brava!
The last one looked like Keith Emmerson playing Mozarts Happy Birthday! Great cover of a Victor Borge classic. I'm so glad that someone is keeping this musical comedic playing alive!
Wow those fingers are just amazing! Not to mention the creativity and genius of the player. It was also interesting to hear the contrast in the styles of the composers.
Beethoven: "Birthday ? just another day in this endless suffering called life" Chopin: The birthday party's DJ Brahm: "Wish you all the best and good luck sweety" Bach: the spotlight wherever he goes, even if its your birthday. Mazart: The MC that runs your birthday party like a harmonious oschestra

When at 4:25 a woman from the crowd said :"O-oo...Ouu,yea" I was like: " You wouldn`t dare, would you?" And when Nicole approached to piano backward and sat down,I was like: " No way" You will really do that?? Dayuuuumm...you will really do that!" O,boy, this woman is freaking legend!
On a concert when I finish whit a nice adagio arpegio and there is magical and quiet moment and there somewhere in the backround a nice loud sneez . I hated it so much
Helle!!! How are you doing today, please pardon me for intruding into your privacy but I just wanted to know if you’re a fan ? Have a great day… Stay Safe!
This fantastic, mind-blowing, classy display of musical knowledge and gifted-level talent...and the first thing one can think is that "this lady is FUNNY"??
@@christopherparks4342 In fairness, the lovely Victor Borge spent most of his comedic career NOT playing like that... although we all new that he could. In fact, *not* playing properly, when his audience was aching for him to do so, was his most enduring running gag.
Uploader MARCOS, what a debt we owe you. Mr Carlile-Davis, Jr did the same to surprise my younger daughter, except it was variations on a theme of her favourite prog at the time, "The Monocled Mutineer".
