The NME magazine once said No bands will ever be influenced by Numan! Kanye West Marlyn Manson Shirley Manson, Garbage Nine inch Nails Dave Grohl Franz Ferdinand To name but a few I was there for his first gig and mine at Glasgow Apollo for the Pleasure Principle tour There when he retired at the ripe old age of 23 at Wembley( travelled from Scotland at 16,) And, will be there in May at the 02 in Glasgow in May for the Pleasure principle and replicas album tour Numanoid for ever ❤❤🖤🖤
@@headron66 I didn't make the Pleasure Principle tour but I did make the Wembley farewell concert ... I didn't have enough money for the programme (one of life's if only's) but I did manage to find and buy the Touring principle programme from the long gone , The other record shop in Edinburgh ... Numan pissed off the so called establishment because he became successful in spite of them and they couldn't stand it ... I only discovered last year that he and McCartney had a collaboration on a record and it sounded bloody good as well but because it was Gary , it wasn't news (maybe it passed me by) ... I could go on ...
@@AndrewPaget-u7k Och, it’s great hearing your story, I never got the programme from Wembley, I can’t even remember why I didn’t but I bought the video of the concert when it came out and took along to the Berserkers tour where a guy at the back door got Gary to sign it for me. Never ever met him for years then what do you know? he buys a house in Scotland a couple of miles away from me😂. He’s doing a short tour of The pleasure Principle and Replicas album which I got tickets for the Glasgow gig in May, if you get a chance… He is also an absolute gentleman, humble and sensitive, nothing like the Robotic being he modelled himself on., nice talking to you, Take care.
