I love those Gummiapan characters. I use them for making cards for all ages, from grandchildren to older friends. I think it is the faces that make them ageless. I also love Opera and siting in a park watching it sounds wonderful.

Happy Birthday Phil! I heat my Magic Mat in the oven on some parchment paper on a baking sheet and that works as well to flatten it out.

Oh, l love your little birds. They came to life so much when you coloured them in. I'm watching even more intently now as you colour as my ohuhu pens are up and running. I think l heard somewhere you can put your magic mat in really hit water to straighten it out as well, but don't quote me on it as l might have been dreaming again 😂 also used a new globeland due set today and couldn't stop thinking how much you would enjoy it as everything is die cut then coloured then glued together, very small and fiddly bits but looks great when assembled. It's an artist set with paintbrushes easel etc.

Cute little card. Totally understand about the British Summer. Here in the SF Bay Area our warm weather is typically in September and October. One year we visited Scotland in March, totally prepared for cold weather and lots of rain. It was basically sunny and 70 degrees from the second day until the next to the last. On the first day of summer here at home, I finally got to wear the black knit turtleneck I bought for that trip! I hope you enjoy the opera despite the weather.

I thought you had already made a card for Phil with a cricket theme, but perhaps you decided against that one, and this is a fun card and love the two birds, and a great sentiment to go with it Chrissie..this is definitely one to bring a smile. I hope you find a suitable outfit for your outdoor opera event and hopefully the weather will cheer up a bit and at least not be raining..hopefully we will be getting some summer soon..lol. x

I never thought about trimming different layers of a stamped image to give them more dimension. I'll use that technique when the stamped image calls for it. I learn a lot from you, Christine.
