Goodbye Gray Skies, Hello Blue: A Look Back Through Photographs and the Story Behind Happy Days Check out My Favorite Channels! - Memory Mountain - Sports / @memorymountainsports - Shore Me Some More / @shoremesomemore
Love and Happy Days was actually just a segment called "Love and the Happy Days" on Love American Style. That's where it premiered in the final episode of season three, February 25, 1972.
It is REALLY frustrating that so many great shows are not available to watch other than DVD / VHS, if those can even be found. Only one season of Happy Days shows up on paramount plus. None of the other shows are available at all. A person might find a season or two of a show on one app, then another show on a different app. By the time a person subscribes to all the different streaming apps just to watch 1 or 2 shows, it would be cheaper to go back to 20th century tethered cable-vision. I want to watch The Monkees, Emergency!, Mod Squad, etc. I just watched Adam-12 - season 5, episode 4 that had the cast from Emergency! Since all these media companies are obsessed with streaming apps, they should collaborate on ONE app to bring all pre-1980 shows to streaming. Then add one year of shows at each anniversary of the app. One thing really fun about watching old shows are the ones with alot of outdoor filming, to see how cities, vehicles, styles, etc. have changed. One episode of Adam-12 Reed mentions how empty an area is. Malloy responds "give it a few years, you won't recognize it". Many Adam-12 episodes show the highways under construction.
The 70s and 80s produced the best sitcoms! The 90s were ok but after that decade I cannot think of ONE sitcom that is memorable or nostalgic post 1995!
I remember putting down a Lay By on a vinyl/leather jacket that i called my Fonzi Jacket. By the time i paid it off, it was summer in Australia, i wore that jacket in 40 degree celcius weather and sweated like a pig.
Loved the first couple of seasons - they truly had the feeling of being filmed in the 1950s. Then the Cunningham house flipped around, a live audience was brought in, and the character of Fonzie slowly devolved from cool to Woody Allen!
Fun Fact. Chuck the older brother. He left the show due to going to college. Another one is. Fonz didnt know how to ride a motorcycle. The 1st time he tried he crashed into one of the set trucks. So when you see him riding. Its the set crew pulling him on a dolly.
