so basically when i was younger i ended up suffering with server depression which was lead by my past. my parents split when i was such a young girl & being too young to understand anything in the slightest, i thought the reasons they split was due to me. my relationship started going downhill with my dad as i ended up moving out of my city with my mum when the divorce went through which meant precious time with my dad started to get shorter & shorter. again, being too young bla bla bla, i grew up to think my dad wasn't interested in spending time with me as much as we used to & i could never reason as to why this was happening... other than me. i thought i was the blame! over my teenage years i was angry at everything & everyone. all i wanted was an understanding to why i felt my life had turned to shit. the more i got better at coping with my depression & stopped blaming myself for my life, the more reasons i found that my dad was to blame (which i know now that i am wrong). i got into song writing when i was around 13 years old & this song popped into my head when i was at a low time of my life. so, i decided to find an acoustic version of it (being this version), put pen to paper & literally pour all my anger & saddens out. it's been 5 years since i wrote my own lyrics to this song & every time i hear this song it reminds me that no matter how hard life gets or how hard you think life gets.. there is always light at the end of the tunnel.
