Happy 2024 Sarah and the piggies. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas, which now seems a distant memory. I have 8 piggies, mainly all rehomes from the RSPCA. They are Roxy (2 years old, very much like your Roxy floof in temperament, appearance and is a food lover), Winnie, her sister (about 2 years old, smooth coat tri-colour), Milo (about 3 years old, smooth coat tri-coloured neutered male). These 3 all live together. Then I have another trio. These are Guy (4 years old, smooth coated mainly black with a little bit of tan round his middle, a very woosie neutered male), Mollie (his sister, same age and same colouring) and Fizz (Milo's sister. She is an extremely pretty, very shiny smooth coated tri colour). Lastly, I have a pair of sows, Amber (3 years old, but a real baby. I think she may be a cross between a smooth coat and a peruvian. She is ginger and black). She lives with her sister Ivy (same age, smooth coat creamy white and mushroomy brown). I need a very helpful video on nail clipping, as Winnie goes into full on panic mode at the sight of claw clippers (even with food as a distraction) and a video of grooming different coats of piggies. Roxy likes grooming, but chatters her teeth at me very furiously, but she has never attacked me at all and will let me kiss her. Love all your videos, learned so much from them, even though I've kept piggies for over 10 years. They are a great source of information, fun and inspiration. Xxx Helen and her 8 floof balls.

Hello from Abby , Ethan and Piggies. This is Ethan's channel, Mum has one too @thesqueaklife. We have 2 female crested piggies called Bingo and Munchkin they are almost 1 year old. I know people don't like kids having guinea pigs but my mummy does all the really important bits I just give them more love, food and snuggles. I'm autistic and they help me a lot too. ❤

We have 2 female piggies, Daisy, who is a 2 year old mostly white with a crest, and Buttercup, a one year old tri-colored abyssinian. Daisy is the boss and a very spicy girl who definitely runs the show! 😂 Rumble strutting is her signature move lol. Buttercup is our adventurous girl who loves snuggles, head scratches, and exploring. Love the channel and excited about the new year and also your new piggie room!

I had a guinea pig growing up. Her name was Isabell and she was just the cutest. I didn’t realize as a kid all the things piggies needed, so I feel bad that she didn’t have a friend or the best care that she needed. I am looking into adopting two piggies as an adult now as there was a terrible hoarding case in our community that filled shelters with over 500 piggies (plus more on the way with all the pregnant females). I am so happy to have found your channel and will be looking into all the best things I can do for when I adopt a pair!

Now, thanks to all the babies and rescuing, I have *sixteen*. (Don’t worry, I’m not getting them pregnant, they’re all separated, they were pregnant when I got them.) We recently had a guinea pig named Bubbles given to us to care for temporarily, but now seems permanent. She is of unknown age, is blind, but fends quite well as long as nothing is moved. She does bite, wish we could break her of that, but realize it is her defense mechanism. Have learned so much from your channel. A refresher about feeding would be appreciated.

Hey squeaks! Dec 16 2023 I got guinea pigs!!! But one of them passed Jan 2nd. they both came from Washington and we think she was sick before I got them, I named them booty and wubby(both 5 years), wubby passed but we got wubby jr she is WAAY younger and oh man I have a lot on my hands now😂

We have been such scribed and watching for a few months. We just bought our first time piggies home today! Currently sleeping in the carrier! We have followed your tips on making a hay room and my Mum, the sewer, bought your designs and has made 2 cuddle cups. My 6yr old has named one guinea pig (a himalayan) Natcho because Natcho is his favourite of your herd. My 9yr old chose the name Grover after the Satyr in Percy Jackson. And we feel it fits as our brown crested piggy is 1.2kg so we have I structions to make sure he forages for Veggies! 💜🐹🐖🐹🐖🥬🥗

I have gone from 3 piggies to 4! 2 sets of boys. Cinnamon and Snickers Then, Twix and our baby Nugget Callie reminds me of Nugget. He will get the zoomies for food and hay, and he grabs food and runs, too. And he's little and sleek I found your channel after we shockingly came home with Cinnamon and I had no clue what to do lol

My names Leia and I’m 6 and I have 2 Guinea pigs called Snowdrop and Pip. They live at my nannies inside her house. Pip is brave but snowdrop is not confident because they are only babies still. I love watching your videos with my dad before we go to bed and I’ve learnt a lot since watching which I tell my nanny about.

Used to have 10. Never mowed the lawn for 5 years. If you run your fingers backwards through their fur it really sets them off

My Ginger floof piggies are Ginger, Spike and Frappe. Ginger is a texel Abby cross, Spike is a texel cross with some Peruvian, Frappe is a rough haired mutt.

I have bunnies and wanted a new challenge. I had a gp many years ago and, unfortunately,, was eaten by a dog where I was renting a room. I just got one that someone was rehoming and quickly learned, like bunnies, they need a friend, so I got another one that needed rehoming. The number of ppl keeping gp's in solitary confinement in a cage is truly disturbing and I'm glad you are getting the message out!

Hi from Australia. I’m yet to bring my 2 little boys home. Hansel And Gruntel. In the process of setting up their home and want everything to be right for them to live in their Piggie Palace.

My partner introduced me to guinea pigs, and I had no idea I could love something so much other than her ❤. Your videos have been a major source of information for how I prepared for adopting my bois, and I always pop back and double check things as we go. One of the first pibs we got had been very poorly taken care of before he reached us, and had developed kidney stones. We took him to the vet and sadly he took a bad reaction to the anaesthetic. It really knocked my confidence looking after them after that. I miss him so much even though he was only with us a couple of months. Now anytime my two boys make even the slightest odd sound I have to remind myself not to panic! What's lovely is coming back here and seeing that I seem to be doing things right so far, and I always check to keep up to date both here and with other sources like the RSPCA. Already switched to better pellets because of you too!

Happy New Year and I have a skinny guinea pig who I just recently found out is a werewolf skinny guinea pig and her name is Harriet. She has had many issues as she was a pet store piggie , but she loves to zoom, popcorn and loves her hay, plays, eats, dives in and her favorite enrichments are forage and hay balls and loves to play in tunnels and when she is tired out, she loves to sleep in her cozy hidey and loves hammocks too!

I love your content. I had piggies when I was young and made many of the classic mistakes that most of us 90s kids made with piggie ownership. While it will be a few years until I have piggies again (because I'm too busy cleaning up after my two kids right now!), I love relearning how to be a good owner and to get my pig fix from your videos in the meantime. One of the reasons I really like your content is because other creators have larger herds, which is fine, but I don't get as close of an experience of thier piggies. With your smaller herd I feel like I really get to know them and I appreciate that. ❤

I’d love to hear more about knowing your guinea pigs behaviours well. I’ve had a lick from seagull and they all come to me for hand feeding so I know we are off to a good start! When should I start free roaming with them? Should I let them be happy in their home for a week or two first? Happy new year! We live in Sweden with our two young boars Mango and Twix. We got them in mid November and are working on taming them. Your videos has helped us a lot to prepare a good home for them and we all want to thank you and all the piggies. We especially like the diy-projects and care guides. And everything else. 😊

I’m definitely not new here but still wanted to say hello :) I have to confess I have a soft spot for Roxy, as she reminds me of our girl Nellie (sadly no longer with us), a massive Texel, who was scared of everything until her obsession with food got the better of her 😂 I have a feeling you may have covered this previously, but it would good to see a video on caring for senior pigs, and specific health issues associated with ageing (for example, our Pedro is 4.5 and we have recently had to start giving him a special ‘boar clean’ once a week as he gets a bit clogged up 🤢😂 while our oldest girl, 6.5 year old Winnie, is now on long-term metacam for joint pain). I realise your herd are relatively youthful though, so perhaps not appropriate at the moment. Best of luck with your house renovations! Jo x

Hi there! Bandit and Splodge here! We are three-month-old girl piggies who have been in our forever home with our piggie mum Kt for a month. Our favourite things are food and zoomies, but we are getting used to being picked up and will now fall asleep on Kt when we have loooong cuddles at night. We wanted to say hi to you all! Our mum had piggies when she was a child but we are her first ones for about 15 years!

I saw a vlog from you about clipping their nails. (That was a vlog from more than a year ago). But better not to clip with a human clipper, but with a special animal clipper. Because the nails from Guinea Pigs are round. (And from humans are flat). By that way you can split/crack their nails. Where as the special clippers cut in a different way. Love your vlogs and care for the piggies😘❣️

When I was five I got my first guinea pig. Looking back, I made a lot of mistakes, but he lived a long, healthy, happy life overall. I miss that guy, and will do even better when I get my new herd all these years later in his memory.

Hi Sarah and piggies! Happy new year to you all! I have very recently adopted 3 girls, from a family member. Who I like to collectively call The PiggyPuff Girls! Ruby (she could be Phoebe’s twin!), Ori & May. They are 3 years old. They have been a herd for their entire lives. Ori & May are sisters. I have previously owned piggies but not for a long time. I watched most of your videos in preparation for bringing my them home. They are so informative and really helpful! We are only on day 2 of their new home and are currently in the ‘stealth’ phase. They are eating, peeing and pooping. So I know they are okay! I am expecting they will stay relatively hidden for a few days as their environment has drastically changed. They were originally kept in a garage. They are now in a large c&c cage in our house. I have already got an idea who is the most confident and who is the most shy. They are intermittently exploring the cage, but have set up camp in a hidey hut and a Morrisons paper bag both have been stuffed with hay. I have already managed to do some hand feeding of veggies with them. Which I’m so thankful for! I’m hoping they will be happy in their new home! Please could you help with this question? Although I have not witnessed any signs of this yet- would it be expected for piggies to go through the motions of re establishing dominance when they have experienced a relocation? I sadly lost my senior pig Nibs recently, so decided, as Stan is young, 18 months old, that I would get him a baby brother, so now we have Ollie. I was lucky enough to be able to purchase one of your hammocks last year. It is Ollie's favourite thing. He spends hours in it. It's now nicknamed, The Lookout Tower because it feels like he is on watch for activity in the piggy room, probably looking to see if the resident hoomans have any snax for him. Lol Keep the content coming. Big nose bumps from Stan and Ollie ♥️

Happy New Year Sarah and all the piggies, they are looking gorgeous as usual, Nachos hair is looking totally wild and fun. Not sure if I've told you but we found a new friend for Merry at the end of last year. His name is Bernie and he is an Absinian multi coloured and he's 1yr old. He's a lively chappie and very chirpy and chats away to himself. They have settled down together really well. He is a rescue piggie and we don't have any back history as he was found abandoned. He is a bit of a nipper and so you need to watch your fingers a bit, mainly if they smell of food (pea flakes especially) but also if we are holding him for too long he can nip then too. Have you any ideas how we might be able to break that habit as it can hurt if he gets a good hold on you 🙄🤭

I have a male guinea pig whos 4.5 years old. my sister had him for 3 years and no longer wanted him. I was so happy to bet him I made his life a lot happier ,He gets floor time in the master suite and a backyard to play inn during the spring and summer he no longer lives in a cage he has a 2 person tent that's out in my master suite bedroom it's that big . He gets vegetables he never had before like dill and watermelon and he's been to see the vet twice since in my care for yearly check up. I love him so much I want to keep him deserved when he passes so I can feel him hold him and see him. Is that strange. I don't know how ill cope with loosing him he's already 4.5 years old perhaps you can do a video on how to cope with loss of a pet. I can't wait until k your guinea pigs get to go out bback in your bigg yard in your new forever hometown is my 10th month watching your vlogg I just adore it.
