I've recently been saved and my first day of church after being saved was Christmas eve! I was on my death bed with septic infection and had 3 stints put in my heart, I found out that I an aneurysm in my aortic that is at 5cm, they also found a spot on my lungs and I lost my job! So God has been blessing us since! We found a church that has accepted a ole rough guy like me! We didn't have much money but I was putting what I could in the offering. But God has provided! Somehow my sister gave me a Duck Commander Bible. My testimony is another story. Love y'all brother's in Christ!
It's amazing how God can love people like me! Back when I hauled cars. I stopped by ya'lls headquarters and bought a few items for friends and family! God has humbled my heart!

It’s pretty simple really, you take a stand for what you really believe and give everything to it, never drift, stay firm. The plain simple fact of the matter is Jesus Christ is the truth, you can study every so called religion out there in existence. The good news is that all roads and LIFE lead to Jesus Christ. The sad part is that the vast majority of people think that leads to rules and restrictions......the absolute reality is that is that it leads to total freedom and life everlasting.

I just wanted to say that focusing on God, not the sin, is the pathway to self-forgiveness and clear consciousness. Hate the sin, not the sinner. The sin is past actions, the sinner is the most cherished creation God loves unconditionally. I hope all is well, and I pray for you. If anyone can take the time to read this and give me your honest opinion. My father is addicted to pain medication after having a brain aneurysm. Before his injury he was an awful father for most of my life absent. I would like to try and forgive him but he is not himself on drugs and as a Christian I want to know the best way to handle this. How do I choose to be a loving and forgiving daughter when he is so difficult to deal with. Is it my duty as a Christian and a daughter to keep him in my life daily, weekly, monthly or am I justified in blocking his number when he gets to manipulative? Any advice is greatly appreciated thank you
Whit 350z I believe you can honor your father by speaking well of him and praying over him. You do not however have to take his abuse. Honor goes both ways.
" How do I choose to be a loving and forgiving daughter when he is so difficult to deal with?" The same way God the Father chose to forgive us. Romans 5:8 says "But God has shown his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." You forgive your father because God forgives you. The 5th commandment doesn't say honor your father and mother if they are good and sober and not difficult to get along with. There are options out there to help get him off drugs. God doesn't turn His back on his children when we sin. We should love and forgive as God through Christ has loved and forgives us. May God bless you!
This is an old post, but I'm just seeing this. Please pray! Forgive him bc God said we must forgive others or he can't forgive us. Pray for discernment. My father abused me as a child. I know he wasn't being led by God. He was being led by something else. We're either being led by one force or another. Knowing that wasn't your dad doing those things to you helps. When you can see it from a Christian standpoint, it helps to see things for what they are. Pray your father finds Christ. Pray God gives you a forgiving heart and discernment. I could explain it better by talking, not much of a typer, but praying is the only answer!
You know I know that I'm a sinner and I have broken every one of the 10 Commandments and I'm doing everything I can to follow the 10 commandments and follow the words of God and our Lord and saver! I take offense to someone who calls me a father or telling me happy fathers day I don't tell people that and I don't say happy mother's day because it's a sin! No man on earth should be called father except for he who is in Heaven, that's what the Lord says in the Bible, when his mother and brother were at the door his disciple came to Christ and said Lord your mother and brother are at the door Christ said those who do my Fathers will are my brothers now tell me who is my Mother for she is the one I come into Existence! Well let me tell you it says it in the Bible the Holy book. You can blasphemy the Father and be forgiven you can blasphemyt the Son and be forgiven but whosoever blasphemy the Holy Spirit she'll never be forgiven under the Earth in the Earth nor in Heaven! So let me say this the Father is God, the Son is our brother and Lord and saver and the Holy Spirit is our Mother! Amen. If I'm wrong then I'm reading the wrong kjv Bible. But that's what my Bible says to me!

I really enjoyed this. But I kept getting annoyed by the older white-haired man in the front row who wouldn't turn to look at Phil preach. How rude was that !! If he didn't want to look at him preach, he should have left. It was very disrespectful. 😮
People focus on appreance.. The beard.. No suits. Think about it. There are tons of pastor in expensive suits and have no fire of God when they speak the Word. Focus on the message.
