Happy Harmonies: Bottles (1936) 

OMG! I thought I had dreamt this! All I remembered was the baby bottles and the tune they sang! It took nearly 50 years but finally I found it! Was anyone else scared of the skeleton and the ghosts as a kid? 👻👻👻

I've had that Spirits of Ammonia song rattling around in my head for about 40 years. Thanks for posting this so I could finally see where it came from.

I'm 65 years old and I remember watching this beautiful cartoon with my brother It seems just like yesterday...

This used to scare me incessantly as a child but as an adult I can truly admire the fantastic style, animation and humour. They don't make them like this! So ahead of its time!

same with me, "Spirits of Ammonia" kept me awake at night for ages!!! I guess subconsciusly this cartoon inspired me....lame I know... but somehow I have become that old chemist guy and now own a similar cosy pharmacy in Hampstead, London!!! Fallen asleep there too....

I first saw this in the early 70s on UK TV. It's allus been one of my favourite cartoons. Really cleverly done, and who knew that Listerine was THAT old . . . ?

A little piece of my childhood recovered. But man this is way darker than i remember. These bottles are just dancing around while death itself is conspiring with a witch to kill this guy for no reason. Damn.

I remember this being played on the TV, in a gap between programmes, when I was a kid... and the singing baby bottles stayed with me since then,,, I also vaguely remember the Spirits of Ammonia too. Thanks for posting this - I knew I wasn't imaging it, but whenever I mentioned it to anyone, they thought that I must have been ill and delirious LOL

I remember seeing this in the 60's when i was a kid! The only thing i remember was the "Spirits of Ammonia" but I remembered the song differently. Thank God for RU-vid!

Damn!!! I've been looking for this for like years! It was just one of those day's thinking ... well, let's try again for 5 minutes to search google for any clue about this "nightmarish poison skeleton thing" of my childhood. And finally, finally I found it. hah, such a relief.

I just watched this on Saturday morning cartoons on TV. Too bad this video is blurred. The one I watched was crisp and clear. I was impressed by how beautifully it was drawn. There's so much going on. The glass bottles and contents were amazing, and the excellent skeleton! And it was all hand drawn. No digital assist at all

I remembered that when I was a kid, I used to watch this show of this episode of MGM and this really scares the crap out of me. The laugh of the skeleton did scared me at the part when that old man started sleeping. 👴😴💀 It's too scary to be working the bottles very late at night, especially when he's by himself all alone. 😱😱😱 But the ending was okay because the old man just had a bad dream. 😁😁😁

Just found this today with the help of the Big Cartoon forum ( forums.bcdb.com/ ). This cartoon was probably the scariest thing I ever saw at 5/6 years old and it must have stuck with me because I still remember it over 20 years later. That skeleton is 3spooky5me... clearly!
