Oh my, what a generous gift from Esterbrook!! I've always loved the Tortoise. Those blotting papers are gorgeous. I wouldn't want to use them to blot ink; they would look lovely framed.

Loved your rection to the fountain pen box. Made me giggle so much! I wouldn't have been able to resist. That box would have been opened first in my hands. Your restraint of saving it to the end is admirable.

I am so happy for you Kristen, you deserve it! I recently got the estie in tortoise but with palladium trim (all my esties have palladium) and I am still in the process of gradually inking it with each of my (many) brown inks. Lie de The was the first ink I put in mine but it is possibly my favourite brown.

I'm like you, the tortoise shell wouldn't have been my first choice of materials, but after seeing it up close with all the different inks, it's definitely a pen finish I'll consider in the future. 😀

I just got my first Estie for my birthday last month, my mom picked it out for me. She chose the sea glass color because of our memories of going hunting for sea glass together. It's such an amazing pen and seeing this makes me thrilled to support such a considerate and kind company. Congrats on the pen! Your joy is palpable and it's great to see.

🎉🎉🎉 so excited for you! This whole video makes me happy! I have this Estie and the brown almost leans burgundy, so I put diamine writer’s blood in it and it was a great combo with the journaler nib.
