Gary Puckett is a super class act. There was this man dying in the hospital and he had one wish was to hear Gary Puckett sing to him. Knowing Puckett was in town that day, the dudes wife ask him to sing one of his hits into the phone. About an hour later, Gary showed up himself in person and sang all his hits with him playing the guitar and he is a very good guitar player. That is the mark of a true musician!!!
Looking forward to seeing the 2018 Happy Together tour in a couple of weeks in Biloxi, MS... Have LOVED _the rain, the park and other things_, so hearing the Cowsills play it and all the other wonderful bands will be a special treat for this old man!!! So grateful that they continue to bring smiles to our older crowd and get all us 'old' folks out of our seats and dancing!!! (we were so much younger when we first heard and grooved to these hits)
I saw them in Aurora in August 2016. Gary Pucket went into the crowd singing Young Girl and all the "young girls" in their '60s hugged him 58:00 Chuck Negron called Joy to the World his Annuity. I met him the year before and glad I was able to see him perform, 1:02:00 I had to leave when Flo and Eddie were beginning, but I saw them in 1979...well kind of...they were MCing for the Beach Boys, not actually performing...unless you count Flo singing "If you want my body and you think I'm sexy then I think you're crazy 'cause I'm fat"
Coming to Az July 13th 2018, Only one I care to see and meet is Susan Cowsill, I do not have $60 to get a good seat (Oh wait, those are all sold out)< I also do not have $45 to sit in the back, and I sure am not spending $30 to stand. So Susan, even though we will be 40 miles away, we will not meet. Shame really.
I'm surprised no one has tried to cancel The Cowsills for the song Indian Lake. People have gotten so touchy these days, ya' know what I mean? Love you Bob, Paul & Susan!! Where's the new CD?
LOVE All these guys!!! Only thing is, if This was a Full Show there was waay too Much fooling around and talking on stage and Not enough of doing their hits, which I would have Appreciated so much more. For me, Not Enough Time for BOTH. I'm going to see the Happy Together Tour in June of 2017 in NJ and I'm just 'Praying,' that Chuck Negron will be doing 'Eli,' as well as the Association doing 'Everything that Touches You.' I SO Hope so.
We went to these every single year. Unfortunately last year's show was pretty awful. Ron Dante as a replacement for Howard Kaylan doesn't work. I would put the Cowsills in charge of it and to headline. Overall it was great while it lasted but these singers are mostly to old.
Mike Love sang lead on many Beachboys songs. Yes Mark Volman was comedy value as much as anything else. Must have been a strong personal relationship with Howard Kayman who was, of course, a superb talent. For an analogy, it might closer to the fact to consider Andy Ripley in Wham, or even John Oates with Daryl Hall. Also look at the Rascals with the organist singing more lead than the singer! Yet that worked so well.
