Netflix new episode Maniakes death scene, Harald kills general Maniakes in a duel. Harald escapes from prison and fight the emperor of Constantinople, Harald get his revenge. #netflix #vikingsvalhalla #leiferikson
Not really, but she did expect to see him staying. Remember the part where he "confessed" that he raped her, just to save her from the allegations and stuff. I felt bad for her that she was left alone. But Harald better off to Northman's Way.
For the most part part they have tried to make the fights believable you see in the first season of Vikings between Ragnar and the jarl what a drawn out fight looks like fast and brutal always better
Harald is a boss! Beating the enemy, impressing the lady and skipping her like a G. The goal only matters after all the shit he’s been true he will be king 🔥.
There's needs to be one more season of Vikings Valhalla, because they set the stage for the battles in 1066 at Stamford Bridge against Harald and Edward and then Edward vs William Duke of Normandy which effectivley brings an end to the Viking Age once Harald dies.
Thanks for the post. I wish this show could have risen to its true potential. We needed a full season of Harald the Varangian instead of Harald the boat rider😂
In real life he spent 7 years in Constanitople and led the Vangarian guard, that's how he able to come back to Norway with an army and ships and riches like he did.
Harald is the goat in this season, literaly taken care all of his problem alone and win (i know his friend also help, but in the end harald try to protect them too, even tho fail)
Literally the best scene of the entire season oh my daysss!!! had to reload this one straight after watching and now somehow ended up watching it again on here 😅 The soundtrack in this scene is 10/10!! fucking SICKKKK
George Maniakis was a prominent figure in the Byzantine Empire, a civilization often referred to as the Eastern Romans, who were, in fact, Greeks. The Vikings acknowledged the Byzantines as Greeks and held a certain level of respect for them. General Georgios Maniakis was perceived as a great warrior by the Vikings, who admired his prowess on the battlefield and his leadership abilities. He never fought against Harald Hardrada, nor did he plot against Emperor Romanos, as the latter did not exist during Georgios Maniakis’s time. And please, a little historical accuracy never hurts! Also, why these ridiculous costumes for the Byzantines when they were known for the magnificent and sophisticated armor they wore?
@@bobafett9348 Byzantine empire deserves to be depicted on high budget productions like game of thrones or gladiator. Has a lot of potential for good stories but none big company cares
The real maniakes a Greek governor of lands of Italy under byzantine Revolted against the byzantine empire and herald's vanguard mercenaries supported him But the revolt was crushed by byzantine empire and he was killed herald managed to run back to Norway
As usual i am to focused on Leo Suter amazing body to focus on the fight scene. What can i say ? I crushed on him really hard. He is probably the only reason why i watched until here since this is not even close to be my favorite show. 😂
Really enjoyed this season .. Florian M. looked like an absolute beast 💪 & thought they could've done a lot more with him... Hope he goes on to do much more in the film industry ... 👏👏
Excellent fight scene, at least dramatically, and it has verisimilitude, in that as an amateur historian but a complete newb when it comes to actual sword martial arts, it seems much more realistic to me than most, with the exception of the ending, like no reason Maniakes wouldn't just move the spear to one side instead of just holding it, or hell, kick Hardrada in the balls. But, gotta make some concessions for good drama.
Ahaha this is so extremely stupid death scene, lying at the back and keeping strongly a head of spare in both hands he could easily to push it aside to avoid piercing of his body. I say oftenly, movies scene is a propaganda of stupidity 🙄
Poor representation of the Varangian Guard and the Eastern Roman (Byzantine) empire. Harald and Maniakes wearing ancient roman armors? And byzantine soldiers looking like ancient babylonians? A lost opportunity to show the might and glory of the greatest medieval empire.
No Real maniakis whould have risk his life and in reality smash Harald head with his Hands in reality if he ever dared to disobey Maniakis orders... Real maniakis was 220cm giant and most intimidating fighting unit of his time...He didnt back down to anything.
i had to pause and monologue about how dumb it was, ever since the pandemic these shows are coming out with goofier and more nonsensical actions on behalf of the characters in them it’s annoying
the show butchered the story.. General Maniakes was actually a mighty general that crushed enemy armies over and over again, even the renowned Normans were afraid to engage in battle against him. He was so powerful that he launched a whole revolt against the emperor. His army was so huge that they won battle after battle, raiding Byzantine towns and villages. He brought the entire empire to the brink of collapse.. The way he actually died.. was that he got shot with a spear by a random nameless soldier during a battle..
@NkNaturalz yes because if herald had spoken up he was going to be banned from being the king of Norway. He knew Leif wasn't going to let it happen and they plotted it the whole time. Hence the long stare at Leif as magnus tried to have it done
@NkNaturalz I agree. I didn't intend to come off spiteful. I thoroughly enjoyed the show but this season was rushed and left alot unanswered. Sad it's over
No matter how strong you are, there are always those stronger than you. Don't try to prove yourself, finish your opponent as quickly as possible. Maniakes could have torn Harald apart with his spearmen if he wanted to, but it takes intelligence as well as strength...
Weapons wrong, costumes wrong hair cut wrong its not hard to look at historically accurate texts pictures redition of this stuff and find it you have to kiding me!
Bullshit show, it has nothing to do with the actual service of Harald Hardrada in the Eastern Roman Empire and did a terrible job depicting Maniakes, a genius general, righteous man, who fought against the nepotism of the era. Maniakes actualy died from a stray arrow on the battlefield against the emperor Constantine Monomakhos, (not Romanos Argyros). Bullshit show, bullshit writing, bullshit acting. But since this is netflix, I was in the wrong for having expectations
