I've had mine since probably 2010, it's mainly left out in the weather. It still works, and I have used it several times to lift my 2005 4x4 f150. Maybe they don't make em like they used to but I think that's the best $80 I ever spent.
Great video. I’ve had the 1.5 ton at least 5 years. Mine did that. I filled mine up with oil just as you did. Still works. I think everybody in America has this jack.
I’ve had mine for years. Filled it with oil and she works great. I fill both the “bleeder” and the “fill” holes with oil. The dual pistons at the base of the unit will sometimes get stuck. Because debris gets into it. But there is a RU-vid video about taking out both piston cleaning and oiling to get it to function. Mine doesn’t get much abuse. It just sits in the corner for oil changes & brake jobs.
Another thing if you keep rotating the handle counter clockwise it will not stop but the plunger will loosen up allowing the oil to come out, the plunger is like a screw , only stops when tightening, at least you got a new one
They stood behind it only because it was within 3 months, that's the problem with buying from HF many of their costly items carry only a 90 day included warranty.
I had a problem with I got a jack like this it wouldn't left one of the Pistons with the spring was stuck down I had to pry it back up that it would lift
