Here I review two of Harbor Freights newest LED lights. One is a magnetic work light and the other a small tactical light. Bright and long lasting, these are worth a look. Sales Flyer here: www.harborfreight.com/see_new...
Hey Steve, really enjoy your videos. I’ve recently purchased the flashlight, and the headlamp, pleasantly pleased with both. After this review, I’ll be purchasing the rechargeable light for a little extra light in the back of my work van. Thanks!
I have both of these. They are absolutely superior lights. Someone at work got me for my smaller one so I immediately picked up another one without hesitation. Love that you can use the 360 turn light while plugged in. Don’t really use it like that but still a nice touch. I’ve got a Walmart light that you can’t use while plugged in. (Might be a safety feature I’m sure)
I love the work light. It has so many possibilities. It works really well and holds a charge well also. Puts out a tremendous abount of light. Kep up the good work
Steve i bought the Bell & Howell slide up light works great put one in every room in case we loose power in a bad storm and already used them once in the last snow storm just one lights up the hole down stairs liv / kt / din / and hallway wrapped them up at Christmas as stocking stuff
Yah usually see that smaller one same style just called something else like atomic beam or bell and Howell etc... I picked up a Coleman battery lock 600 at ross for $10 great light just wish it was little white light
I like the first light the COB LED swivel light. Might have to look for that one. I like how it charges by USB. That should be standard on all flashlights these days. I've had good luck with those thunderbolt Alkaline batteries, they are just as good as the Rayovac batteries I buy at walmart. I wish HF sold larger packs. I can get a 36 pack of AAAs for 17 dollars.
Nice lights . Thanks for the demo.Steve. Next month I'll look for the lights at the big sale. Is your daughter still living back east or has she come to her daddy? Your looking great hope you feel as great as you look buddy.
I just bought a Coast G20 pen light made very similar to the work light (minus the bar light) and I really recommend it. I really like that bar light with a magnet, may have to get one! Good review!
I bought those and the 310 lumen headlight with the same focus setup (fantastic) twice the light of my last one. Also bought the rechargable light stick but haven't had a chance to use it. It seems like it will work well. If not I'll bring it home to work on the car
+Xplorer Steve DIY The main issue for me at work will be hanging it over the engine of a class 8 semi or class 7 cab over trash truck. You don't have a nice steel hood to stick it to.
Steve, I owe you an apology . I've dissed a few of your hf vids in the comments, because I haven't shopped there much. That co. has come a long way. I'm picking up the four drawer cart for $99.00 this week, also bought that same light! It's great for a Jackson.
Their stuff has come up. I tell people if they don't like the quality, give it a week. They are really trying. No apology needed. I hear not everywhere has stores like the 5 in Vegas. They are growing everyday.
+impactajuvenile I read your comment but it didn't register until today. I live in West Michigan and went to town and discovered we now have a Harbor Freight! I am so excited to check it out, and, it is in the former Sears store!
It could be that not all stores got the new work light. I went to one store just before Christmas and they said they never got it. The second store I went to had it, but someone had to go in the back and open up a new box as the ones out on the shelf had all been scooped up. It can be helpful to have the item number so they can look it up more easily. I did not check for the flashlight.
I just purchased their Quantum 1500 lumen zoom flashlight - great light! Machined aluminum, rear switch, just high & low setting which is perfect as the strobe hurts my eyes. Another great thing is that it does not have a hot spot so I am going to try using it for photography projects.
So, did Cosmo complain of confusion along with his eye spots? I just got 4 of those LED light switch lights you can stick anywhere and thought I found the greatest cheapie light. Your find is way better than mine! Thanks for the demo!
That harbor freight work light is a great deal for $20. The only problem I've had was the battery that came with it. But was an easy fix with a replacement 18650 rechargeable battery ....
I'm not sure 20% coupon will work on that because of the brand-name. Check the fine print. In any case I posted a link in the description to a coupon that will get you them for 10 and $20 respectively.
+The mech a nic my hf puts 2 cases out and they are gone in a day. It took me over 3 weeks to find it in stock. They had 2 and as I picked up mine somebody grabbed the last one 😆
I wanted to add in here that the Braun uses a recharagable 18650 li-ion cell. The one that comes with it is a protected button top cell and is longer than most standard cells because of the protection built in as well as the button top. Having said that a standard flat top 18650 will work I've tried it but I wouldn't suggest charging by the cord if you use one without protection. This may be how they cut down on cost by just using the protection built into those batteries and not adding more to the light itself. Personally I would use an external charger for any but especially if you use a standard non protected cell.
I like it because I can use it without a gimbal and still get very good stabilization. Low like quality is much better than the others and the picture is fantastic.
For mechanical work.. If it is above hood, good design.. If it is below hood, better off with a compact little flood light shaped in a circle / magnetic/ cordless /. You can work on your brake rotors inside the wheel well, and etc. I would much rather have the compact . U can work above and below the car.
Linescrew1 really that is stupid to say epilepsy is a serious thing seizures can kill someone read up on it first before thinking about replying to my comment.
Wayne Testa I am the one making a joke about seizures. Shouldn’t you be scolding me? We are just joking around. I try to leave comments on every video I like but I run out of things to say to the people making lots of great videos.
The problem with ALL Chinese flashlights is the poor quality switches and battery contacts. I have used dozens of flashlights American and Chinese and i can tell you the American made like SureFire etc will actually work when you really need it, the Chinese flashlights will not function at some point and for me it was always when i needed it the most. I am happy to pay the 100.00 to 150.00 for a flashlight i can always depend on when i really need it. And 10 years later the American light still works.
Thanks much for the review vid Steve. I had picked up the magnetic work light a few weeks to work on 4x4 van at night. The light has worked out great for me. Picked mine up for 19.99 with coupon code 428231920 which is good till 1/31. To me this light might be the best item available for the money at HarborFreight.
Oh yea......... when you go to get gas at AirGas on Losee road....... Keep heading south to Colton Ave.head west.. Try SNS BBQ... good bbq, great smoked beans, good service and good breakfast......
Carry that strobe at MLK and Craig at night. I'm sure that will make you safe. Hey,,,,, That "Habit Burger" place will be opening soon across from Cannery Casino..... decent burger and fries, give it a try!! I found it to be a good burger... up there with Smashburger , above In-N-Out...and piss on Five Guys!
Fyi! The harbor freight alkaline batteries are just as good quality as any so called top of the line batteries you can buy! It's been proven on my job! And much cheaper !
I lay asphalt on highways at night. All workers wear headlamps and have compared hf alkaline to all top of the line batteries and the hf alkaline are just as good and better than most name brand. Proven over years of experience!
There batteries are some of the worst I have ever bought. They last a quarter of the time of Duracell or energizer, have tested. Harbor freight batteries just plan out suck.
"Quality Duracell coppertops." There's a contradiction in terms. I've had many devices destroyed by Duracell batteries exploding in them, from expensive Mag Lites to portable CD players. I prefer the Harbor Freight alkalines. They last just as long as name-brand batteries.
