i was actually able to knock the old bearings off the old tire/wheel...and they fit perfectly into the new wheel. new bearings knock out easy with socket extension & hammer. Your video helped me realize to do that so TYVM!
Those wheels have a failure at the shaft to wheel hub weld, they will end up breaking off one day! I know mine did, I had to re weld the break and add extra steel that the bolts go back through and weld 3 extra internal gussets to the shaft and new steel. Sort of in a 120 degree spread.
Remove tire from old rim. Use a torch and heat up the outside of rim along bearing. Run cool water inside rim to keep bearing cool. Use pipe diameter litter smaller than opening, place 2"x4" on top of pipe and hit wood with hammer the bearing will be easier to knock out. On new rim, drill holes for grease fitting
Just get the plastic bushing ones for 2 reasons, a) When they wear they will NOT wear out the shaft they are on b) Many of those ball bearing ones you get they DON'T have grease in them and fail quickly & in the process of failure they can mess up the shaft
I got those too but when they are sitting outside most of the time 100% of the time the water get into them and rust them out from the inside because u cant get grease in there.
Had the exact same experience. Waiting on a 10 pack of bearings from Amazon for about 22 bucks. Didn’t want to spend 100 bucks or so on tires and tubes and put them on old hubs instead of spending around 30 for 2 harbor freight mounted 13 5.0 6 wheels and tires
Yeah, mine did, however they won't now after my rebuild. 😁🤣 The reason why I spent the time on the rebuild I love the idea, the hub can split, makes it soooo much easier to change tyre and or tube/replace or renew.
