That's not how biology work, a flyweight man can typically outlift a heavyweight woman by a close margin but that's a difference of 7 weight classes apart, this is based on stats from elite competitions. They seem to be a couple of weight classes apart, so he maybe smaller but most likely stronger.
She would beat you in a fight because she can control grips from range? Could you film an actual match or maybe an extended fight day first to 3 ippons? I rarely get to see how useful grips are and how they shut down strategy. Only sometimes in RU-vid fights because pro judo is too fast for me. It’s like grip and throw immediately or grip throw, counter When I saw once a woman shut down a man a bit bigger than her with gripping I was amazed, because I could see he was in a difficult position to throw her but she could threaten more easily from her position the grip gave her Could you please film this? Prior to that I would’ve thought the only way to win for a smaller opponent is to involve as much breaks as possible
Newaza. Not breaks. Because I thought newaza is the best only way for someone smaller to defeat a bigger opponent - to turn it into bjj and I know women can be competitive with men so that doesn’t surprise me. Didn’t realise grips made such a difference
Oh you mean Newaza. She could easily beat me in Tachi-waza (randori), but Newaza I can still manage. She still has advantages because she likes to do all kinds of annoying gi-chokes (loop choke, bow and arrow, etc). I'll try to film a round of sparring in Gi.
Yeah. A real fight/round/match would be interesting to see. I really can’t see why she’d be better at tachi waza, I would’ve thought your strength would equalise it. Either way I’d love to see how you both try to win (I’m assuming you’d try to take it to newaza to put things more in your advantage) By the way- is it possible to fight hard and safe together or do you have to go 80% to avoid injury? Ie you wouldn’t/couldn’t have a proper match so you’re having to both go easy?
I wouldn't win probably against either . I never took class but wrestled friends who did wrestle in school. I used to be able to just pick them up lol. I'm really strong tho . Not a big guy . the type that you'd call " wiry " lol my older bro is 6'6" and 340 pounds. my bodyweight is uploaded. I'm less than half his size . I would probably enjoy classes if I had the time . but enjoyed the content fs
