Hard Light Vs Soft Light which do you prefer?

In today's video i share my thought on using a Beauty dish which is a hard light source and also a umbrella which is a soft light on the same model to determine which of the light source i prefer.
Kindly share you thought on which light setup you prefer or which is your go to.

i love both hard and soft light but if i had to choose , i'd go with the beauty dish for beauty and fashion images generally for the contrasty punch and details it gives me .normal portraits definately umbrella

Images look great, but it depends on the look you are going for. Lately I have been loving the more harsher shadows look so I would go with the beauty dish. What device did you use in the end of the video for tethering?

is the beauty dish silver or white on the inside? I'm guessing its silver as the beauty dish shots seems a little cooler. Great work though, just earned a sub
