Dave I like your style. Every other fishing channel has clickbait, loud yelling, “omg guys this is insane guys, biggest fish ever you guys”. It’s refreshing to just have a dude on a boat catching hogs not being annoying or trying to sell me some crap.
Dave, thanks for getting back out there and grinding it out. A professional sports photographer, back in the day before digital photography, told me he shot about 1300 photos at a pro football game in order to get three sellable photos. I have to wonder how many hours of fishing you put in to give us a 45 min video!!! We do appreciate your efforts. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
My minn kota is old just foot pedal but i like it.still trying to drag with it.Wish i had a little insight how to do it. You best U tube catfisher man there is.
I used to drag with a foot pedal. It’s just a lot of work without spot lock and a remote to control the motor. Of course it is possible but having done it for several months I don’t think I’d recommend it. I was running to the front of the boat to control direction and I’d just sit up front watching the rods. Then if you get a bite you will def end up in the wrong direction, possibly tangling lines, and so on. It’s worth trying to save up and get a trolling motor with a remote at least from my experience.
Dave, you need to check your tackle box and all the storage compartments on the boat. Be sure to check all your pockets too... Somewhere on that boat, someone left you A BANANA!!! 😂
Yes sir I'm with you on trying to figure out new electronics when that time comes my way, I despise it. Anything to do with calibration, setting up a new cell phone anything I'm with you. I've learned to take my time and a deep breath and just go too it and before you know it ,it's done. Thanks for the video, and taking us along. Cheers.😊

Dave reminds me of what my new acquaintence said of me after only knowing me for about 3 weeks in the military. He said if it wasn't for bad luck he didn't think I'd have any luck
Don't look at is "suffering bad luck" look at it as "starting new adventures" , you got a new trolling motor, so you know it's good to go anytime you are. Have the deep cycle batteries tested, might need new ones there too.

Dave, the water temperature at long Island was 55 on Wednesday and 62 at the Kingston steam plant, my nephew fished hard Tuesday and Wednesday and only caught 3 small blues finally got to meet you at Douglas dam last Saturday, love your videos and always have cheese sticks on my boat😃😃😄
I have to admit that I’ve gone to the dark side. Danged old channel cats moved into the area I fish so I’m catching some of those big springtime black crappie.
So that guy in the kayak was pulling my leg when he said that you were going to have a bad day fishing because of the banana that was smeared on the bottom of your boat.
Garmin is WAY better. There are many tips and tricks with it, and it's way more controllable. You can stick it to a certian asmith and just touch right or left to adjust. I do this more often than making a course. Spot lock has gain and sensitivity settings you will need to edit, and you can hit the arrow key to move a few feet any direction. It's way way better, trust me.
Why not call Customer Service and while you are on the water, go through the steps you need to do to make things operate like you want, and record it on your cam so you can watch it until its habit?
