Hard reset Rheem tankless 99 error code 

I have reheem tankless units that are going on 15 years old now without issue. This one had a clogged vent and needed reset. Simple rugged units that perform well. This particular unit I believe was my 8th, and had someone else install.

I have the same issue now. Did you find out what the cause of this was for your heater?

Unit is for a building

It ran for over a certain amount of hours. It's a failsafe.guess a Tennant left the hot water on in their unit too long. Never happened again

Or it was a clogged vent or a combination. Can't remember. The tech on phone might have told me

Mine had a birds nest in the flute blocking off the air.

How old is your unit, that's a low flow. Check the filter on the cold side worth a quick Google

Shark Bites work great. Dont really spend much time looking at this unit, actually the last time i was in this closet i made the video?

​@@cliffpalermo Would have looked incredible and lasted a life time if he had soldered like a plumber should. Shark bites for 1 use dissimilar metals to make the connection, Tiny stainless pins touching copper. Shark bites are also notoriously prone to failing, google it. Also about doubles your material costs for an inferior install. They are meant for use temporarily or when water wont stop flowing and you cant solder for some reason. As a plumber its hard to look at a full copper job done entirely with shark bites and not a single soldered connection, shame on that plumber.
