Thanks so much...I just got mine from Best Buy today and was tinkering with it..then entered a PIN to unlock the watch. Then I tried putting my PIN but it wouldn't unlock the watch. Your video is really helpful.

Will this disable the reactivation lock? I have paired my Gear S2 w/ my Note 5 and enabled reactivation lock. Yesterday, my Note 5 died. I have sent it to Samsung's service center and they will most probably factory reset my phone. I asked the customer representative, who assisted me, about how to disable the reactivation lock on my Gear S2 so that I can use it w/ my other phone but he couldn't help me. All he said was to wait for my Note 5 and that it should pair with my watch again. I'm not so sure about his answer. Hopefully he's right. I also sent an email to Samsung stating my problem and I got a very generic response about how to reboot my phone by removing the battery, etc... (Seriously Samsung?!) I really hope the customer representative is right; that my Note 5 will be able to connect w/ my Gear S2 even after a factory reset.

I don't have the option for recovery. There's continue, download and power off... My watch is just an expensive paperweight now 😅

I did it. But after all the rebooting process, the lock screen appears again, so I still need the original samsung account to pair the gear s2. Is there something else to do that is not in the video?
