HARDCORE WoW Deaths Are Getting Worse.. 

One thing I love about Hardcore is that it really makes me appreciate high levels again. From the release of vanilla to Wrath, it was always cool to see level 60, 70, 80 players running around because you know it took time and effort to get there. But in current retail WoW, no one gives a shit if you're max level because it's so easy to get there. HC has brought that feeling back for me.

imagine randomly dying to a bug at 52 literally falling through the floor blizzard...

Out of the 15 or whatever years I've played WoW the biggest thing I learned was you can always count on the vast majority of random players to be absolutely terrible at the game.

Watching that Mage, as a former Mage main, just flat out bleed out from the poison when Block is available is so painful to watch. Some real tragic deaths in this comp. Fully agree that they should fix bugs like falling through reality and mobs z-axising you to death. Those aren't fun things to deal with in a mode where you got one shot.

Classic HC has caused me to be more aware of the other players and to actively try to help them when I can. There are absolutely jerks out there, but it seems like HC is causing a lot of folks to..actually work together.

Think i've witnessed one of the craziest saves in wowhc. A war in front of me in Redridge Mountains attacked a gnoll caster, he unfortunately started to run out of HP, one more cast and he was gone. The gnoll casted his lightning bolt and the war with 8hp resisted it and lived. Crazy moment

Hardcore really made me see classic in a new way. It gave me a fresh view.

Hey Wando (priest 12:34 ) sorry about the death but if you are reading this, you could have made it. 1- never dispeled nova on you 2- never dispelled thunderclaps on you 3- after leaving party, you should have used Fade and you be loosing threat on the 2 mobs and HS out. Too late for Wando, but I hope this helps someone else in a similar position in the future. cheers

I was the Paladin tank at 5:50. That was wild. We had two rogues and a warrior just ripping threat on every mob, no one was attacking my target after asking numerous times. I was surprised we didn't all die

I'm gonna real, if I see the gold dragon elite around the player frame... I know they are dying 100%.

Hardcore really forces you to respect the game. All mobs can kill you if you don't take them seriously. It's the one thing that makes us semi relive Vanilla, it's great.

Bro I swear people in wow don't have their interrupts bound. That Uldaman clip is a perfect example.

These are the little hits of sweet schadenfreude that get me through the week. Last 2 weeks of this series have been as good as 2006 content.

I used to have people SCREAM in teamspeak over healer letting you die in a raid... Imagine with perma death... I bet youd get IRL deaththreats for letting your tank die.

That final death hits hard. That's exactly how I died on my mage.. I was so angry because I had light of elune and ice block available, but didn't notice the poison until it was too late

5:00 ltierally how I died. Worst part is you can EASILY get out of the quarry to the left when you leave the cave.

0:40 well, we don't know what happened before, everyone seems to be pretty much oom, one mage and the pala seem to use a mana potion. The paladin has def aura, but the tank is out of range, he gets it when he is in range, maybe they got hit by the skeletons and that was a bigger problem than the shadow damage. In principle it should be ideal for the healer in that fight to have only ranged DPS, but there is one huge caveat: The healer has to time a big (enough) heal to pull the skeletons away from rivendare whenever they appear, and they have to be nuked quickly (which shouldn't be a problem with two mages), so don't have everyone always topped up to be able to generate healing aggro when needed. If the skeletons stay near Rivendare they heal him, maybe that's what happened one or two times before, it would explain the low mana and the chaotic movement, maybe the mage ran forward to place flamestrike and draw the skeletons, but he should have corrected his positioning, the interrupts from the aura damage are much worse for his dps than a bit of movement (how can a caster not notice this?).

As a healer in classic, I always stay outta Los as much as possible. That pally could of avoided those mana burns with better positioning. I think most people forget healer aggro is very much a real thing.

@10:50 the undead running by also gets hit lol. Guess that's just a spot to avoid if you're running in SFK for some reason

WoW needs to make a Last Man Standing mode. Make people have to sign up for the mode before the "season" starts. Divide registered players amongst various servers based on registrants. Servers goes live, and it's Permadeath. Once a week, the minimum level requirement goes up by 5. If you are under the level requirement when it goes up, you get purged from the server. Only the players who registered before it went live can play, and when they die, or don't level fast enough, they get kicked out of the server for the rest of the season. Give players account wide rewards and titles for hitting milestones in this server. Like the first to 80 gets a unique title they can use on non-HC servers, the last remaining 100 players on the server get a unique mount for their other characters, etc.

I am a noob to classic. When I played Classic HC with a plug in NO trading NO party Solo Only Since Im new to the game, I was watching videos about every cave , every dungeon, every place I was about to visit. Managed to get to 50 and stopped playing as it got too hard lol. But HC rocks.

So many of these are like... if the people would commit to the kill, they'd actually come out on top. Just watched the priest and warrior duo, they would've killed it if the priest stayed and committed. The Zoram Strand warlock one was close and he would've killed easier if he just committed instead of running back, could've bandaged after killing one and fearing the other.

I dont remember which MMO had it... But instead of perma death you are just logged out for 24 hours. I think this is a happy medium where you are still pumping adrenaline when you almost die but dont quit the game after 1 or 2 deaths. It made pvp fun cuz when you kill a player you are banishing them from the game for 24 hours.

Died last night to the Horde trio in Loch Modan literally spawning on top of me and agroing before they had fully faded in from spawn, absolutely unfair. I ran as soon as I saw the first glimpse and they still immediately agro'd even though they were still half visible from the spawn. So freaking stupid, blizzard needs to fix z-axis and add a grace period on agro for mobs as they spawn. Dying to something spawning on top of you and agroing before you can react or hitting you with melee through walls while definitely out of range is totally stupid and unfair.

Mana shield is only physical dmg in classic, so that last clip was just me screaming for him to IB the 4 poisons :p

I can feel that one guy who suffered from the z-axis bug. I just lost my level 19 warrior to being attacked by a mob AFTER jumping off a tower into the water below. So f'ing pissed right now.

I think we’re seeing a lot of players that are botting and doing the yellow route and then playing after they sing 60. We are seeing so many people that it’s mind boggling they made it that far and then they suck badly…. And it’s not just playing badly, but overall bad setups, not prepared to play HC. Those that have been in the HC scene know. It’s a dif mentality and that drives choices like profession choice and down to even how u approach questing and grinding.

Hardcore made me realize that rouges are always the first to flee in instantions + they usually have like the most stupid deaths in the compilations I'm going to call them rougetards from now

I was questing in Silverpine forest yesterday leveling my first HC rogue 12 lvl, I had a breeze, no close calls. I was farming grizzlies and these werewolves and saw a dead pleayer's body, thinking like 'lol, did he just die from a bear? Kinda unlnucky tbh' and then this MOFO Son of Arugal just came from behind and annihilated me in 2 seconds I just couldn't register what happened for a sec. 10/10 HC would do it again

Also about that last mage, no asmon mana shield would not have saved him. Mana shield only absorbs physical damage in vanilla. Ice block however...

I will never understand how people find this game fun, hardcore or not. I played till max level and then got so bored i quit

my friend and me played, I have completed alone the murlock quest, then next day I helped her with it. First she "accidentally" fell down from a clearly visible cliff into two murlocks from which one was a rate elite, then after defeating them, we pulled one but 3 came, told her to run, I run into a corner because it was the only remote place where I could go and not pull more even if they flee, she run into the water instead where it was clearly visible that there are 2 more murlocks... how the hell she can play tank on retail if she is so clumsy and has no periferal vision! Retail is so freaking forgiving and skill ruining.

Hardcore really gives that D&D feel for me. You lose your character, you’re done. That’s a wrap. Really gives you a whole new respect for what you do.

I don't play HC... I'd only make it to level 10 before I'd die after accidently pulling a herd of bears or being swarmed by respawning murlocs. There's just no way. It takes a village to make it to 60 in HC, and when I saw a village, I mean you need like a team of 4 others who won't abandon ship on you... but let's face it, they'll let you die alone if it saves them. I mean, we all would. I can't imagine making it all the way to Naxx and dying there. And that's real easy to do, too. Naxx in classic is ridiculous. You survive all the other raids... and those are hard as hell to do normally, but without dying... and go to Naxx and get beat up.... Classic is brutal enough.

That first druid is a r1 PvP healer. I guess that what it takes lol

When will mages learn vanilla arcane explosion is a death sentence. Uses too much mana, gets you hit in melee, just always the wrong call in HC vanilla overall lol

Mana Shield does not work for poisons, thats what killed the guy in the last clip.

That last one was pretty horrible. Dude had iceblock and never used it. I farmed the hell out of that area on my mage. There's a few areas that have no caster mobs but they hit pretty hard. If you're 1-2 levels above them it's a joke to farm.

I'd hope the guy who fell through the floor is/was able to appeal that shit. Same thing with the mage and the attacks going through the wall. Bug deaths like that should absolutely be allowed to restore the character. It's not like they were overconfident or did something stupid. I hate how so many on the forums after I searched to see if there is an appeals process said essentially 'git gud and do agane' and you KNOW they'll be the ones who scream the loudest when it happens to them.

What I love about hr classic is it really shows how braindead classic players are, like you get minimal difficulty levelling up and those who by sheer luck get to 60, immediately get killed when faced with the slight skill level increase of having to raid

Fun fact people may not realize, classic era servers changed it to where the max nameplate distance is 20 yards. Their is no command or anything you can do to change this that i know of

You're absolutely right about not holding it against the player if it's not their fault. That irritates me so much when people wish ill will on people who make dumb mistakes and still live in most cases. I don't think that mage did anything that cost the party their lives, so why wish them death? lol. If the game kills the player, it's BS, regardless if the player was playing optimal or not.

I understand the no changes for classic. But classic wasn't designed for a hardcore play through. Blizz should fix stuff accordingly, just for hardcore imo. The falling off maps and hits through walls, for example.

Smart warlocks would go affliction and get the healing from corruption and siphon life, then make sure to pump the ever loving shit out of +shadow damage. I actually removed immolate from my bars. It's not worth the mana and cast time. Corruption, siphon life, curse of agony and shadow bolt/life drain if low hp.
