Three suspected hitmen accused of killing B.C. Sikh leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar have been arrested.
The RCMP took the three Indian nationals into custody on Friday, more than a year after Nijjar was gunned down at the Guru Nanak Sikh Temple in Surrey, B.C.
Nijjar’s murder was the culmination of a years-long campaign by the Indian government that sources have described to Global News at “coercive” and “incompetent.”

@@freddymercury2259 No, they're not legal in the same sense as it is legal in the US. They fall under a prohibited license in Canada, being as they're semiautomatic (or select fire) rifles with a centerfire cartridge and a magazine over 5 rounds. They are also on the prohibited firearms list by name. To own a restricted firearm in Canada, you have to do additional hours of testing and also be a member of a shooting club, which is the only place you're allowed to discharge such a firearm.

Thus far Canada has not responded regarding the arrest of these individuals, let alone their deportation. The three charged in the Nijjar murder have been in Canada for between 3 to 5 years. Two are on student visas but have not been attending any classes. They would not be eligible to work, therefore, and also, should have been deported. So what were they doing, and why were they not deported. India reports that "Canada is a hub of gangsters" (CNN-News18). Clearly Global has some explaining to do.
