I couldn't find the process or a guide on how to replace the extruder on my Bambu Lab X1 Carbon so I went ahead and put together and install guide myself for others to use. The guide should show you my whole process in installing Bambu's hardened hotend and extruder.
These upgrades are required if you plan on printing with abrasive materials such as the PA-CF filament that was included with my printer. #3dprint #3dprinted #3dprinting #install

The guide to replace is nice, but you gave false info at the beginning because the X1 Carbon shipped with hardened nozzle and extruder gears. The regular X1 didn't have any hardened parts. The nozzles with black heat sinks are hardened and ones with silver heat sinks are stainless. They do recommend a 0.6mm hardened steel nozzle for CF on their website to lessen chances of clogs and less friction/wear on the nozzle. 👍

Upon further research if you bought the X1 Carbon & not the X1 it does come with a hardened nozzle & extruder. I also got mine off of their Kickstarter.

Is it possible to modify the nozzle to accept standard mk8 nozzles? Like shave off the tip, make a bigger hole, and tap it. Maybe add a spacer or cut some extra off so the nozzle is about the same height?
