The Hardscrabble Road Project in Richland County reached a milestone on June 17, 2024. All four travel lanes and the two-way center turn lane were fully opened to traffic on a newly widened 1.5-mile section of Hardscrabble Road between Farrow Road and Crane Creek. SCDOT continues to make progress toward completing improvements along all 8 miles of Hardscrabble Road by spring 2025.
