Construction to widen and improve Interstate 26 is underway in Calhoun and Lexington counties. Some of the work happening in the current phase of the project includes demolition and construction of five overpass bridges, earthwork to support two interchange improvements, and upcoming work in the median. SCDOT asks motorists to use caution when driving through this active construction zone.
