HaritoraX is what I use for Full Body with the Oculus Quest 2. Basically, imagine SlimeVR but it's a bit higher quality and is easier to setup. It also has Sensors for Ankle Tracking.
Heads up, I plan to make an updated and much bigger review video (with voiceover) once I get the Hip tracking extension. As of right now I currently have 10 point tracking with the Elbow tracking setup and its very good! I'll probably keep this video up when the updated video comes out, but if you're still interested feel free to turn notifications on :) edit: The hip tracking extension will be coming in April, so expect a Video on the Elbow Trackers and standalone VRChat tracking once the Quest tracking update comes to the Haritora software.
@@StakedWitchI just recalibrate every now and then. Make sure to mess with the height option and to try calibrating the Gyros themselves (instructions should be in the user manual).
Really fun and informative video. Thank you so much. Very much looking forward to your full review. This vid really helped put things into perspective and I appreciate that a bunch. While I want to get on the hype train I feel I will wait until other tech like the Nofio wireless adapter for Valve Index is fully on the market. So much hype tech is on the horizon. Thanks again.
I'm getting the base version for audience anarchy acting and cuddles so seeing you go on your knees is exactly what I needed to see because withy current phone tracking i do that alot
This is one of the few videos that actually make the Haritorax look worth it. Even the official videos just look off, which has me a bit worried. The hips usually look so stiff. I know there’s no hip tracker right now but I’m assuming it just guesses based on where your chest and upper legs are. I’m really curious to know how the hip tracking is with out a tracker. I know it’s only an extra 50$, but I don’t wanna wait till April.
the reason the Hip looks stiff is due to HaritoraX instead having Chest tracking by default. it really confuses me and the only way to have Hip Tracking is to get the extension for it (mine arrives in April for some weird reason)
the 1.1 is a very minor Hardware update afaik. It's improved battery life and maybe very minor tracking upgrade. When they say 1.1, heavy emphasis on the small number.
How do you get yours to look so smooth mine looks so stiff and the seem to cross legs when I put my legs side by side? My ankle tracking isn’t working as well
how bad is the drift? I bought haritorax some time ago but actually wound up getting regular trackers/base stations, but you can't cancel, so i'm curious.
Hey just asking a question, but do you do anything special with the height of the avatar, your tracking is really great looking and mine can be kinda off at times and I been told by lots of people that they get better tracking when they mess with the height in both VRC and the Haratora X Configurator! I was just wondering if you have your height set shorter then what you are irl or taller and stuff like that.
most avatars I use, with FBT are designed with FBT in mind. So I usually do not need to use funky settings to make it look better. But I do sometimes switch between some IK settings depending on the avatar. Examples being switching from hip lock to head lock as some avatars get funky depending on this setting. I also tend to mess with the Tracking pose setting that was recently added.
You are getting what you paid for, I will start with that. These are IMU based Trackers, similar to SlimeVR. Just a bit easier to setup out of the box. Imo it's also slightly higher quality tracking overall than SlimeVR, but it's not Open Source. I'd like to go more in-depth, but I plan to make a bigger review video once I get the Hip tracking extension. Currently I have the Elbow Trackers! If you have a standalone headset (no baystations) this is imo the best standalone tracking. In total, it should all be less than $500usd for 11 point tracking. And there are no Baystations required!
Hey so when did you get yours? Also Could you tell me more about the ankle tracking. Does it come with them? Mine doesn't come until January - February so I'm curious to know if its worth the wait.
The ankle tracking is a tiny sensor on the bottom of the below the knee tracker (don’t ask me how it works because I’m not super smart with things like that lol), but yes your trackers come with it. In the configurator you’re given the option to disable and enable it and there’s also an option for sucking the sole of your foot to the floor. Which works pretty well if you’re interested. I personally don’t use it though.
I’ve had my trackers since July and I’ve noticed recently after a while the chest tracker tends to want to drift to the side in game a lot so I have to recalibrate way more than I did before would you happen to know a fix for this?
This could be due to interference with your Bluetooth. I recommend using Bluetooth with a good antenna of some sort for your PC. Sometimes those tiny dongles just don't cut it I'm afriad
there are only 2 solutions that'd only help reduce the drift. Doing the weird figure 8 thing to help reduce the drift, or getting a stronger Bluetooth adapter. as of recently I've only found myself having to recalibrate every 25 to 45 minutes on average.
@@VixianUwU fortunately it stopped!! I guess it fixed itself somehow 😅 hopefully it doesn’t start doing it in the future..but as of right now they’re working normally again!
both the wired and wireless have not changed much in performance tbh at least nothing drastic, there is actually info on that in their website and twitter account!
Hi I believe it's standalone compatible, it says it is on their website but I personally haven't tried to connect mine to standalone yet so I'm not 100% sure how well it works on standalone compared to pc or if there's even a difference at all. To connect it to standalone if I remember right you put the haritorax software on your phone and thats how the data gets sent to vrc, but I'd double check that on shiftalls website.
There is a delay. and while using them it is pretty noticeable. It’s also not always super accurate. especially around the waist since there is no waist tracker. I’m hoping the hip tracker extension will help with that though!
While I have noticed a delay, it's almost unnoticeable. the only time you'll notice it is if your looking for it. Unless you have a weak Bluetooth signal, it's an extremely minor delay.
So, what I noticed while using these trackers is that you need to have the below the knee tracker right above your foot. Occasionally my straps would dangle in front of the sensor for the ankle tracking and mess it up. So, make sure your straps/cables aren’t too loose and also keep your above the knee tracker pulled up higher, to tighten them a bit more.
I was gonna order these, but they were all sold out at the time, then i bought slimevr in october but it wont ship until late april next year.. (New sub btw)
Yeah I'm not getting my Hip tracker until April either. I wanted to make a much longer and detailed review video on 12 point tracking and Quest standalone, but it's going to be a hot minute. I'll probably make separate smaller videos showing off Standalone quest and elbow trackers.
I DONT GET IT I SET IT UP CORRECTLY AND IT STILL DOESNT LOOK AS CLEAN I EVEN DOWNLOADED THE OVR SOFTWARE TO MAKE IT SMOOTHER ITS NOT WORKING HOW DO I MAKE IT LOOK LIKE THIS I CANT EVEN SIT DOWN IN THE THING IT LOOKS SO BAD IN VR CHAT I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO plz help me anyone 😢😢
"SlimeVR but it's a bit higher quality and is easier to setup" We can't really judge the quality of build since they haven't shipped and everything else is diy... And they're pretty easy to set up, with the chips planned to be used you only have to calibrate them once, then it's just fixing the rotation every few hours
yes, this base model is Rindo. The clothing is made up of assets from different outfits. I made the textures tho. (the ones in this video are slightly outdated from what I use right now). I had someone else put the assets together.
I would say that it's for a different audience. SlimeVR give you more control over your product, with it being Open source. You can also build your own or just use Joycons or even your own Android phones! HairtoraX is for those who want a good out of the box experience. But you do lose open source software and being able to just build it. I would say that, imo, it's slightly better tracking quality.
If you don’t have a lot of money and want fbt asap or you want decent fbt temporarily until you’re able to get better trackers, these trackers are absolutely perfect!! I highly recommend them. I think I definitely got my moneys worth and I’m super happy with the quality of these trackers. 😊
They’re set up to be very hard to notice. You just kind of learn to be careful not to get your arms tangled in them, but they’re not bad. And you don’t have to worry about tugging on the cables because there’s straps that give more pull (they’re longer than the cable) so you’ll pull on the straps instead of the cables.
From my knowledge, HaritoraX is using Bluetooth instead of base stations, so what is the difference? Since there is no base stations to see exactly the positioning of the trackers, it's tracking is all estimated from sensors inside the trackers, which is great since there is no occlusion, unlike Vive which has IR sensors which must be in view at all times in front of the base stations, which gives it that sub-millimetre tracking. This is also why for HaritoraX, you will get some drift overtime due to rounding in calculations of the IMU. hope this helps! :)
