Hariyali Chicken is a chicken curry coated with green masala using coriander leaves, mint leaves & green chillies as main ingredients for colour.It tastes yummy & It can go with any dish like chapathi, rice, ghee rice, poori etc.If u r bored with same red curry definitely u should give try for this recipe.Its just awesome 👌
Ingredients:
FOR GRINDING:
Onion -2(medium) roughly chopped
Garlic-12 cloves
Green chillies-4
Ginger -1&half inch
Cinnamon-1 inch
Cloves-6
Pepper corns-8
Coconut -1/4 cup (chopped)
Turmeric-1/4 tsp
Coriander leaves-1/4 cup
Mint leaves-2 Tbsp(15 -20 leaves)
SEASONING:
Oil -2Tbsp
Ghee -1tsp
Green chilly-1
Onion-1(finely chopped)
Curry leaves-15 leaves
Garam masala- 1/8 tsp
Jeera powder-1/4 tsp
Pepper powder- 1/8 tsp
Ginger & garlic paste-1/2 tsp
Curd- (1-2Tbsp)
Preparation method:
Step-1:
1.Take 1/2 kg Chicken & wash it 2-3 times .
2.Mix Turmeric powder and 1/2 Tbsp salt & keep it for 15 mins.
3.In a pan with 1Tbsp oil fry above mentioned grinding masalas one by one .
i.e Onion by adding turmeric, green chilly , garlic , coconut, pepper corns
4.Once masala cools down transfer to a mixer by adding ginger , cinnamon, clove,
coriander and mint leaves .
5. Grind to a fine paste.
Step -2:
1.In a same pan add 1-2 Tbsp oil and fry marinated chicken .
2.Cover and cook for 5 mins stiring in middle.
3.Add grinded masala to chicken with 1 glass of water and salt(1/2 tsp) if needed
and cook chicken until 75% done.
4.Gravy texture formed.
Seasoning :
1.In another pan add 2Tbsp oil ,1tsp ghee and fry green chilly, curry leaves , Onion till golden brown by adding garam masala, jeera powder, pepper powder ,ginger & garlic paste , curd.
2.Transfer gravy to Seasoned pan and cook until chicken cooks.
3. Delicious hariyali Chicken is ready.
