Huzzah! I'm so happy to see your triumphant return to TFTC! I love watching these episodes with my dad as you do such a good job of demonstrating the mod in a most entertaining way.
Just to add, you missed the ramming done by the Corvette against the Interdictor on B5M4, its a scripted sequence that's meant to destroy the INT to allow the enemy fleet to escape (necessary for Battle 7 later on).
Welcome back! Glad to see you continue your playthrough! Just to let you know we are now on v1.3.4 :) Side note, I've played some X4 but put it aside because my current PC just isn't up to task for mid-late game stuff, I tried the X4 Interworlds SW mod as well, its good stuff! Luckily getting a new beast of a PC next week!
Hey mate, Yeah I know I have already updated. Been recording trying to get back into the swing so this is from I think the very end of November. I'm currently up past B7M1 somewhere after getting the fleet. (Had something really odd happen in that one as you'll see) Very nice, Not sure if you are interested in it but it may be worth having a poke at Star Citizen once they drop the new patch as well to pressure that new PC, I've been poking around that as well recently to see how it's going.
I made the reference to TIE/d development being as early as pre-yavin to account for the inclusion in the series Rebels. Only a soft reference, allowing you as the player to decide if it was just in the design phase, or if actual test versions were manufactured and used on/near Lothal. This placates both the old and new canon purists.
Don't know how I missed this one, I have the bell clicked and everything. I'd love to see you play X4, it's one of those games I've always wanted to get into but it just seems cumbersome. If you're looking for a new game to play that is kind of like this was Wing Commander Privateer. If you haven't played them, they were like the X-Wing series, but Privateer had an open world, it had a main quest but it wasn't intrusive. Check it out.
X4 Foundations. A game that could be a lot better if it had enough funding and a competent team of Developers. Don't get me wrong I have played this game... to much. Edging on the 2000 hour mark. But it's a game you either like or hate. The thing with X4 really is the underdeveloped vanilla experience. It's unbalanced, and boring to look at, not to mention that the only Ships you really need are the Gunships, or M class Ships. Build 200 and more of them, then eradicate everything you see because there's no counter to that. Mods makes it a lot more enjoyable. But what really holds X4 back is the below average performance. I don't know if this will ever be truly fixed but even with a monster PC you will probably never reach a constant 60 FPS. and yes. You are right about your assessment that it is both to full and to empty at the same time.
