That was awesome. I think Harlan was an opinionated man, but I think all things considered he was fair. Talented writer with an interesting personality. I don’t agree with everything he said, but I respect him and I would not care whether or not that sentiment was returned because people will be people and we like what we like and so long as you are not hurting others or yourself then go ahead. Cheers!
It's his hobby. He does it for fun, not for money, so he can be sloppy. He doesn't want to have to science _people._ The implication being that actual political commentators are all either up to his proffessional standards... or they're not.
My only disappointment in life is that I have not read every word Mr. Ellison has written and seen every video he is in. I thank the gods of intelligence for Harlan every day. I will subscribe just for this video alone. Double, triple, quad something thank you.
“Not sure if Turian heaven is the same as yours, but if this thing goes sideways and we both end up there, meet me at the bar. I’m buying.” - Garrus Vakarian.
I'm SOO GLAD the young Harlan Ellison fanbase is growing back AGAINNN !! MY FELLOW YOUNG DISCIPLES... LET US CONTINUE TO PREACH THE GOOD WORD OF THIS MAN'S GOSPEL TRUTH 🙏🏻🙏🏻 Continue to work and think critically, my brothers 💪🏻❤️
I'd assume that too, but after listening to some other interviews, it feels more like Harlan doesn't want to visit a country that gladly butchers his work just to make it more appealing to German audience. Stuff like changing I have no Mouth and I Must Scream to I Have No Mouth and I'm Screaming.
He'd fit in more if he went to germany (considering most of the top guys are jew themselves), like what the other guy said, Germany's known for heavy censorship.
"I'm wrong more often than I'm right." So few people admit this. He was ignorant on this topic though and admitted to that although he certainly had an ego. It's okay to admit you're wrong and to not take up the call for voicing your opinion on everything.
I'd choose Harlan every time! A: because I could give him as good as I got and B: afterwards we could still play golf on Sunday, having had a rousing, heated gentleman's discussion and then shaking hands! (That's assuming either of us was interested in golf, which I'm not.).
That also goes for chick peas, wax beans, beets and nuts. Falafel is full awful! And I will never set foot in the middle east, Burma, north Korea, or anyplace like it that has a psycho-murdering regime in power. And that includes Putin. If ever there were stunning candidates in the modern world for Roger Waters' Fletcher Memorial Home for Incurable Tyrants and Kings, they're it!
Okay, who the hell drew a line through a paragraph of my comment!!!? Censorship: another thing I won't tolerate! And neither would Harlan or Roger! How's about you face me one-on-one!?
@@crummylion He was dodging the question because he knew for a fact the journalist would not appreciate his true feelings on the subject. Not because he didn't know it.
to be honest I think he doesn't know the details of what's happening in the middle east and he most likely doesn't know that Israel is actually European. He just generalized all of us because of our issues but honestly I don't blame him. I don't expect much of a guy full of hate. I still love him though
I think he meant it more in a *"let this sort itself out and keep it the hell away from me" type of way. Not that that's a phrase... ᴮᵘᵗ ᵐᵃʸᵇᵉ ᶦᵗ ˢʰᵒᵘˡᵈ ᵇᵉ ᴵ ᵈᵘⁿⁿᵒ
@@thehammurabichode7994 But that's the problem. You can't let it sort out by itself, not when: 1. the entire Zionist idea was a creation of Western antisemites who just wanted the Jews out and away. The problems created in Palestine are their fault and their responsibility. 2. But instead of helping to bring peace and harmony, the US has been actively complicit in the crimes and genocides and running diplomatic interference. That's why when you say that you don't want to get involved, it's too late, you already are and you are just evading your responsibility. Harlan's speech, however, was made in other times and seems to me to be directed at the Zionist around him who wanted him complicit. But I'm not sure.
