I believe every soul Cegorach snatched away from Slaansh was to help create Ynnead. The appearance of Ynnead similar to Slaansh is Cegorach final jest in defiance to the ruinous powers.
Being a harlequinn sounds pretty good You live in a walking party Free traversal of the warp If you die your god saves you from eternal suffering Yea I'd buy into that
Late to comment but the closest might be chinese ballet and i'd rather kill myself than ever put myself through that training regimen. Harlequins would look at that form of ballet as a cute mimicry from a monkey. Cute and quaint but graceless and lacking.
I mean, to become a troupe player you need to follow a *theyldh* which is essentially cutting all ties to your old life and being a certain character/archetype for the rest of your life. 24/7, all the time. If that floats your boat then yeah you'd live a significantly better life but I don't think I could personally always be the one character and give up my whole personality.
That feeling when you find a new channel and the first vid you pick just immediately 'clicks'. Will be savoring the rest of the longer-form videos at a later date. Harqies are an edge case for me, otherwise the space elves don't do much for me, but... videos like this are hard to say no to. Keep it up, don't burn out too soon on making vids, and don't get bitten by any venomous COPPAs. ;)
William Strong thanks! I hope you enjoy the big ones. I know would say this - but try out some of the ‘introductions’. They can be fun. ;). Oh, things get a lot better. A lot. :). Steep learning curve. Thanks for watching! Trust me, it’s not all pointies. ;).
@@baldermort watched the Nekron vids today. Back when they were introduced as a faction is roughly when I stopped playing 40k TT. I'm so glad they now have actual personality and variation in motives.
William Strong I know the feeling. I took a decade and a half off and my head literally swam when I returned. I much prefer the Necrons now. Lots of history and backstory to get your teeth into. Also it colours the war in heaven and gives a real sense of legacy and mystery to the world. Thanks for coming back to me. It is very appreciated indeed. :).
Ah, now I dance. Thank you for sharing our art, We will visit you, though we observe, that you are aware of the curse of hubris. Continue singing your song, human, and we will join you in harmony.
Thank you so much for covering the Harlequins!! They're my favorite faction. You have such an amazing talent for narration and setting the mood; your videos are some of the best for warhammer lore.
BBROTHER! YOUR ORATORY SKILLS ARE EXEMPLARY. Seriously though I just finished your Rogal Dorn videos parts 1-3 and they were awesome. The way you spoke, the feelings you conveyed with your words and tonewere great and made me empathize with Dorn and really FEEL the story. I wish I found your channel sooner but better late than never!
Whenever I read or hear about 40k lore, I always wonder what it would look like on film. Out of everything in the 40k universe, imagining a Harlequins battle is the most difficult. As Baldermort pointed out, they're not just fighting, they're "performing an allegorical tale" through combat. I mean, what does that even look like?
Yeah until a Hollywood producer fucks it up (Like they do with most adaptations) Though I would be lying that I wouldn’t want to see it done right on the big telly
Wait a minute... _Oh._ Oh, that's _brilliant!_ I mean the metaphysical logic involved is a bit of a stretch, but if Cegorach set it all up, played everything and everything _just_ right so that even the Chaos Gods were none the wiser, then Slaanesh might just be nailing his own coffin shut as we speak...
@@NIMMHATVRapBeats ... its a going theory... but the Yinari isn't the savior of the eldar people... she's unresitable bate. She is the amalgomation of millions of eldar soles. The fates of humanity and the eldar are intertwined... all that is left is to preform the final act.
@@michaeltrant6113 Holy Shit...with such a battle, Khorne would not be able to resist such bloodshed, Tzeentch would not hesitate to manipulate things, Nurgle is the only one I cannot think a reason to be there, but chaos is as chaos does. Three major chaos gods would be hit and hit HARD during that battle. That is one hell of a trap.
best listening material as i paint . love the tone of voice . its so calm but robust to give that emphasis on good story telling . it makes my creative juices saur . love listening to these as a story before bed aswell .
Can you imagine if Humanity stopped being aholes, and joined the Eldar, along with the Tau against Chaos and the Drukhari ESPECIALLY the Hermonculos covers what a force that would.be?
When it comes to 40k lore, you are the best sir. Perfect when I'm drawing 40k characters. Couldn't afford to play, so I just draw them instead. Anyway, I love all your videos sir. Thank you.
May be a Tau dude, but dammit, after performances I’ve done, I would love to have some Harlequins, and to even see some. They’re cool as hell. Doesn’t help Stringstorm’s song Rhana Dandra is awesome.
🎵"Some make us laugh, some make us cry but these klowns only gonna make a you die!"🎵 I'm tempted to make a Harlequin army now, despite the fact I still haven't finished my Mechanicus army
Love that old school picture at 1:08 and back in the day, I bought that particular box of mini's. I might even still have the box somewhere. Mini's were so much cheaper in the early 90's, I bought a skeleton army set for only $25. Thank you for the Memories Bruder Baldermort! 🤘💀✌
Harlequin masques with a Light theme are known for heroic benevolence, while those in the dark theme are known to work for dark eldar ! And there is the twilght theme which are a mix.
Roll up, Roll up........ The Circus is in town! Another brilliant episode, I could picture the colours! the giggling! the acrobatic movement!............ The Harlequins!!!
So... It'd be kinda cool if Cegorach's plan relies on the Imperium as a last ditch middle finger to Slaanesh. Probably won't happen, but it'd be cool if, at the last possible second when all seems doomed, a massive Imperial crusade headed by the Phalanx arrives wherever the final clash happens, battering aside the teeming hordes, and the first to set foot on the battlefield is none other than the Praetorian himself, Storm's Teeth roaring as it drinks the blood of daemons, flanked on either side by a particularly pissed off Vulkan and a vengeful Lion.
We're not going to mention that one time that Magnus psychically smashed through the Webway, like a telepathic Koolaid Man, to tattle on his brother? Ok... just saying, he certainly didn't do the place any favors. ... and boy, was his Dad *pissed* ...
I hope they get some new models. I'm getting back into 40k. I love the harlequin lore but the models with those colors and giant collars are ugly. Something like spawn without the giant collar would be much cooler. Enjoyed the narration
I could only find one error in your video, Cegorach wasn't the only Aeldari deity to survive the fall. There was Khaine, who was shattered into shards, and Isha, who was rescued, and later imprisoned, by Nurgle.
Yes yes. I believe that was within a ‘quoted’ segment. So GW over baking things. I’ve certainly not ignored either fact. My only defence if their statement is that few know about Isha and Kaela Mensha Khaine was sundered and spread throughout the materium instead of his natural realm - the immaterium. So from a detainee point if view the statement is still correct.
What happens when Harlequins die and their souls get snatched by the Laughing god? Obvious they are forced to endure bad jokes until the end of time [BAZINGA]!
If Aeldari pride and arrogance, selfish ambition and hedonism led to the birth of Slaanesh, then by forsaking their former life and donning a masque form they become the antithesis of what birthed Slaanesh in the first place - an Aeldari focus upon enacting the perfect dance under the guidance/wishes of Cegorach would preclude them from adding emotional fuel to she who thirsts, as the archetype they don becomes all-consuming of their attentions as opposed to a life of carefully chosen paths and dissociated mastery to avoid the dark fate of their kin. What a story!
Omg, light day at work with only one other guy here (IT for a casino)... Yes... This'll do perfectly. Been binging your vids, love em. P.s.~ WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!
Well... all of the oddest... that brings back memories. Many, many years ago I worked for a casino, except I was not IT, I was a Croupier. First job I had after leaving school, was there for two years before going to University. Interesting times. Only job I know where the best wa to get attention from the Pit Boss or the Supervisors is by blowing kisses at them :) (the sound carries surprisingly far, and is immediately recognisable).
brazen187 thanks, Brazen. Still trying to raise my game. The content deserves it. Glorious hobby that it is. Do it!!! Crack them out and strike for the Laughing God!
@@baldermort your game is good, i binge watched all your vids on my day off your batt reps where enjoying and really like your veiws on using models without the need to finish the last box you brought
Tyson Wollas good skills! Yes, it’s Isha. But could have been confusing in a brief introduction. Plus GW have not mentioned her in a while. I am uncertain what her future holds, exposition or write-out. I’ll cover her at another time I hope. You can see why I left that nuance out though I hope. It’s just an introduction at this stage.
Tyson Wollas, wooooahhhh. Please read my message again, my friend. I was agreeing with you! I was just explaining my decision, one fan to another! I loved that you brought up Isha. Loved it. I do tend to answer messages when I can, as i see us all as just fans of this phenomenal setting, game and hobby. I am so sorry if you read my response as snotty, as it was really meant as a nice conversation. Sorry if you felt bad. It certainly was never my intention. Keep up the questions and, if I miss something, hit me! I have sooo much to learn too. It would be to my benefit, so how could I ever get annoyed, let alone at another fan of Warhammer. :).
Baldermort's Guide to Warhammer 😂 my response was in hope you didn’t think me as being to use your phrase snotty. No hard feelings. I’ve been sharing you videos with my buddies. Keep them up.
1:10 - You had me at Psychedelic (erm trance)! :D A brightly coloured Solitaire/Harlequin would not be out of place at the raves I go to; unless she started slaughtering everyone!! 5:14 Nuanced narration; are you a Harlequin Baldermort? :D I guess the Aeldari would be considered a Kardaschev Type II civilization, harnessing stars for energy!?!
TheEyez187 lol! My friends have told me to play harlequins more. I really need to get more transports. One day. Oh, they’re powerful enough. Lethality made flesh. I loved doing Ceggorachs laugh. So, maybe. I’m considered to be at my most lethal when playing Eldar of any form. They’d be epic at a good knees-up, that is certain. :).
Its worth a lot to me/us. I consider us more a tribe of warhammer nutters than anything else. For fans by fans. Its just beginner stuff, but fun I hope. :)
I mean, the Imperium didn't conquer the Galaxy with a million Space Marines. They did it with a million Space Marines, plus untold billions of troops, supported by an enormous fleet, supplied with who knows how many replacements and how much raw material for supplies. The Harlequin threat level seems more like the Tau, if the Tau could do surprise raids via the webway. The Eldar as a whole simply aren't a vital race anymore. Even the Dark Eldar are just people refusing to leave a party that's been going on for too long.
Alright Baldermort here's my plan for how Slaanesh will be destroyed in the Rhana Dandra and Eldrad will become a god. After fate has made the time right and all are ready Yvraine and Eldrad will meet with some knowledgeable harlequins from the black library and learn of an ancient beast created by the old ones capable of destroying a god. Known in the D&D universe as a Tarrasque some of which weaker ancestors of tamed beast still live. Known as diablodon to humans. After following Cegorachs top secret webway passage to find and tame one as only an Aeldari can. When Slaanesh is sufficiently weakened the Tarrasque would then eat Slaanesh
As ever a story of truth of that evil that confronts mankind's billions in the imperial guard regiments as well as Adeptus Astartes who are able to stop the problem for days but they're gonna be back same time same GW Channel ! Your literal translation of the lore that was written in the future . You give assistance to my understanding as I'm unable to sleep .💯🤩🙉🙊🙈 party
To be fair if you’ve only ever read the word demesne it’s easy to mess up. I pronounced epitome epi-tome (as in the book) for years and years. It’s quite a common phenomena in people who have learned their vocabulary from books rather than spoken word.
Gaol is another one, it's pronounced as jail. Most of these words have been changed over time to better match the phonetics of the spoken word with the written language.
