Very much a Weekend Cowboy bike, for those that just want a fancy, attention grabbing, cool looking motorcycle for Sunday morning bike meets or runs out to their local country pub. For anything more the Sports Glide comes into its own, with the quick release side bags and fairing, it can do much more with a higher comfort level but with almost the same look. But the Breakout does look flipping gorgeous!! 👍🏽👍🏽

The stock mirrors are too far in to see anything behind you. I added Kuryakyn mirror extensions and now it’s perfect. FJB 🖕🇨🇳 PS Good luck trying to adjust the rear shock while moving.

Hello Matt! YES... you tested the Breakout first!!! You made me want to go out and ride my Breakout and it's dark and raining. The power of this machine is awesome!!! I have a Kawasaki Ninja ZX1400 so I thought this Harley would be slow. NOT... this motorbike has so much torque it does feel like it's pulling your arms out of the sockets! You're also correct... it's a cruiser motorbike. I don't try and go through the corner like a mad man. So it works perfect for me. I really like the pipes of that Breakout! I haven't put pipes on my Breakout yet. I'm leaning towards Tab Performance pipes so far. My Breakout is Baja Orange... so yes, I get lots of looks and comments. I put an engine guard on it in case it tips over. LED turn signals, Sissy bar, wider mirrors, and an expensive alarm system on it. Like you... love the looks of this Breakout! I thought you did a wonderful job reviewing the Breakout! You showed me that it can take the corners, just needs a little extra work. I'll be watching this video many times! Your personality makes your videos so much better than other RU-vidrs! You have a great smile, and come across as being very genuine!!! I think you have a very bright future ahead of you in regards to reviewing Harley Davidsons!!! Good Job Matt!!!!! John

I put the Bassani Road Rage on my current one.....the 2 into 1 pipes make more power but the Big Radius look better and sound insane.....its a hard choice... 😛
Great review and I love that you focused on the visceral side. Bike is in your face of power cruiser. It’s absolutely beautiful and you just basically have to know what you’re getting into. I was touring GUY for years and I’m transitioning over to more of a weekend Ryder and I think this could scratch that itch.

I love the Fat Bob and is a great looking bike as well but I’ve gotta admit the breakout is more comfortable to ride long distances and now with that 117 m8 I dunno I could be tempted maybe a trade in coming up
Very interesting mate, I was actually stoked to get back on my bike if I'm honest haha. Has the handling and I find the seating abit more comfortable. Each to their own though that's the beauty of harley davidson haha there is a cruiser for everyone !!! I like the Breakout but if push comes to shove I the Fat Boy better for a couple of reasons ,I like floorboards,the tank Speedo I like better,I think the rake is a bit bigger than the Fat Boy which isn't my preference and I think the tank might hold a bit less fuel than the fatty.

You nailed it. It's a weekend cafe cruiser. I've enjoyed my 2020 heaps.. but next year he goes to a good home, (interested? 😂) so I can jump on a 2022 Low Rider ST that's already been tweaked to Stage2 With mine, after 150k's blat with mates, I'm done.. Fun in the corners at speed ay 😅😅 140 tops through 80k posted corners.. but loves big long sweepers.. You really have to work it with that fat rear. I like your standing to 100 fang Shame you can't do a rolling 100 to 200.. Can here in the NT.. it gets there faster than you'd think too! 215 is flat out with a tailwind.. but hang on for dear life over 180😅 Great vid matey.. Enjoying your videos. When I was younger (62), I traded my ‘09 Electra Glide for a new 2014 CVO Breakout! What a great motorcycle! Don’t have it anymore & it’s the one Harley that haunts me….never should have traded it away, but I travel / tour. So your review is correct, it’s for fun not road tripping 😎

I have an atlas silver 2023 breakout and you nailed it to a T man. So much power straight off the line and the handling is maybe a 6/10. But also nailed it that it's worth it 100%. Good review

Wooop! Love my 2020 114.. in custom orange (as ya've seen).. this needs a wrap round front fender also. Yeah.. they look 😎 af. 1. Stop apologizing, some basic script. a bit like prompt cards while public speaking. but it is hard to make content unplanned however your rocking it perhaps some jokes and taking the piss. next step is the interview by that i mean talking to sales on the camera its uneasily approaching people with the camera but if you get them talking about the subject they know about you will never get out the editing job overall mate fantastic job keep up the great content that allows viewers to watch till the end.

Nice review mate. Take the fatboy for a ride. Mine is the 2018 with solid wheels. The 23 model they cut out the wheels as some Muppet thinks the wheels catch too much wind which is rubish

Great video mate well done I love the way you just stay yourself and honest about your review on the bike I rider a 2015 heritage great handling Bike, but when you get up in the hills it sucks. By the way, are you at Mooloolaba? My favourite place in the whole of Australia had some great times there well the ones I can remember anyway

Thanks Glenn! Hmm that's hard to say mate. I think a different bar set up would work better for your height but I could be wrong. It did feel like a more compact bike. Definitely go take one for a spin though and see how it feels 🤙 let me know how you go !
Ground clearance wise its perfect for short riders, as its super low.....but the reach to the bars is a bit long....you can grab a seat that pushes you forward a bit and they are perfect. LOTS of short riders chose the BO....

Are you trying to sell your buddy from Bundaberg the reason to by a Breakout? To me, this is the bike you buy, if you want a Boulevard Cruiser Quick tip. If you are looking for a second bike, or more importantly, a first bike, ride a few demo bikes. Try the Breakout, Lowrider, Fatbob, Heritage, Road King, Street-Glide, Road-Glide, etc. Get a real sense of which bike works for you, or you might get the wrong bike. That would be a very expensive mistake
Hey mate, sorry for the late reply but personally I'd choose the breakout as a taller bloke. I was alot more comfortable and I think from memory they both handled about the same, average. But the breakout is my pick by far ! Thanks for watching 🧡🖤🤙

It’s a gorgeous bike in every way…..except 1. The handle bars are a little skinny and flimsy looking for the bike…it looks like you’re riding a bicycle from the rider perspective with those skinny bars. Thicken up those bars and change the lengthen risers an inch and it’s a 10/10
@@Gnarly_Harley that is definitely an opinion of mine that is subjective…and a picky nit at that, but the bike is so substantial and then it has these schwinn handle bars 😂🤣 I love the bike and the great scenery you showed…it sounds fantastic. It would be the one new Harley I would buy but over here in the states it’s probably tagged at $25k in the dealer and that is a “whopper” 🧐

It would just spend most of its time in my garage looking pretty hahah. lol yeah for the most part being tall is just fine but it does come with some challenges when driving small cars, most motorcycles and flying in economy class. I quite literately can't fit my legs in there. I guess I'll drive out there and give it a spin. I have a feeling like my knees will be up to my ears though.

I had a ‘15 Breakout until August ’23. My health forced me to sell it and it sucked to lose it. But I’ve finally stopped dreaming about it and riding in general. I sure miss it.

Its funny you said the same EXACT thing I say about my Breakout. I own a RoadGlide, StreetGlide, Breakout CVO Pro Street, and a Ducati Streetfighter...and when people ask me which one I like best I ALWAYS tell them the Breakout, that it handles the worst, it doesnt brake the best, its not the fastest bike I own...but when you ride it you feel like a 100% GANGSTER...that its EXACTLY how you are supposed to feel riding a Harley Davidson. The bike sits super low to the ground and has an extremely wide, flat back tire so its never going to handle spectacular, as its slow to shift side to side and just doesnt have the clearance....but with that, its not HORRIBLE, it just isnt what I would call "Nimble" or "fast" in the turns. If someone puts a cam on that bike you rode, it would turn it into an absolute BEAST!! Mine is the older twin cam, so its never going to make the power of a cammed M8, but its still brutal when you get on the power....EXCELLENT REVIEW!! You could have expanded on how your feet are on teh ground (I know you were flatfooted) as when you get to other bikes, it wont be that way. Hope you had a good time cruising with your Dad...great to see the Streetglide out and about!!!

@@Gnarly_Harley I’ve test rode one they are nice! be interested to hear your thoughts on the mid controls I actually like them keeps me less slouched so my back does not gets sore I’ve noticed I sit more like that on my road glide don’t use the highway pegs much.
If you put the extended forward controls on it, you will get stretched out a ton....and if you slap apes on it you open up that clamshell feel of hte drag bar. Its a super easy bike to modify...

Got a vivid black 2023 breakout about 3 months ago : has the same exhaust as this one freedom radius plus did a few other mods as well : looks absolutely sick as but surprisingly it gets no attention at all never even received a comment about it to be honest since ive owned it : it was quite the opposite to what u got in this video plenty of attention : so yeah i was surprised by the way people reacted in this video : good review anyway 👍
