In the video I review the 2021 Harley Davidson Fat Boy 114 . This bike isn't one that would typically be on my radar. It doesn't exactly fit my riding style or the way I like a bike to look. YET, I absolutely love the Fat Boy. It's a cruiser and maybe one of the best at it's job.

The fat boy has always been one of my favorite bikes, how many occasions I went into the dealership thinking about buying a fat boy, then left with a Road King. If I can afford two bikes one would be the Fatboy.

It's just got that look. Like I said in the video, as a kid if you said Harley Davidson this is the bike that popped into my head. However like you, if I had to choose, I'm going Road King all day!

Sweet bike and back to chrome, yes!! Been riding Harley since 1969 at the age of 16. (totally against the wishes of Mom.....lol, but Dad was an old time Harley guy and had a big smile on his face). Right on point with your feelings about changes and upgrades. Nice set of Vance and Hines pipes with their fuelpak module. Then, an on point dyno tune. Good to go!! Thanks for the video and keep the rubber side down. FTW

This is my favorite Fat Boy of any year. I am a big fan of chrome on most Harleys, especially on the Fat Boy.

I have an 18 Deluxe. Love it. Second choice Fatboy/RK. Yes new Fatboy can have a windshield and bags. Relaxing while riding is what it’s all about bro.

I have a 2000 fatboy and a 2018 street glide special still love my fatboy only has 24,000 miles on it and still runs great 95 cu inch s and s 583 easy start gear drive cams and branch heads with fatcat exhaust beautiful sinister blue color and tons of chrome.

I think wheels are what makes a vehicle stand out .years ago I had av1965 Austin Healey .I put full chrome wire wheels on it and it was Porsche guards red .It got compliments everywhere I drove it .

@@throttleblip9854 It would be my first gasoline bike. I ride an electric home built right now. It's a bit more powerful than those 49cc scooters some people ride around, but setup with a more motorcycle control layout. I also rode motorcycles as a kid and teenager though not as much as I wanted to. It'll be the first time I've ever dealt with a full sized heavy bike with a transmission.

@Jesus Cardenas Im sure it'll handle better than my current bike. It handles like shit, and has a garbage suspension and is a hard tail. Im so ready to move up to something with more power and grip.

I have the electric blue 2018 deluxe and that old school vibe, whitewall tires and beach bars, isn’t matched by any other bike that harley makes. I bought this bike while serving overseas in germany and not a day went by that I didn’t get compliments. During summer in europe the motorcycles come out like flys; these bikers are serious riders with hyper-machines and the hyper-skills to match. That being said, when I’ve parked at festivals with hundreds of bikes a lot of people skip past the Ducati’s and bmws to admire my deluxe, and are kind enough to say so. It turns out that people everywhere like class, and the deluxe has it in droves. It’s a shame to see it’s production end.

I bought a used 2019 Fat Boy 114 with 246 miles on it. The previous owner put $5k worth of goodies on the bike and I scooped it up for $18k. This is the bike I take the wife out on when we go out. I have a 2018 VMax I take out when I go solo.

Beautiful bike. I'd add saddle bags and crash bars to protect the bike from low speed drops. I agree about adding new pipes, you didn't mention security? It's a pity it doesn't have cruise control. I really miss the heal shifter

@@throttleblip9854 swing bags are nice but you can't get much into them. It would have to be saddle bags which is a pity as they hide the rear tyre. But worse of all is I'd need to fit some sort of tail bag to a sissy bar to take a helmet

I have the 2020 satin chrome and denim gray . Of course first thing was V&H slip ons but the seat was so rock hard and heavy ..I put on a Hammock seat man what a difference

Hi Throttle Blip, would it be much asking to get your point of view from the Softail Standard? I know it is kind of like the Street Bob (watched your video), but in chrome. Yes ,you are right .Mine originally had the terminater head light.But I bought mine and it had a diff head light similar to this one .I believe its a kit that was fitted .

Got a 2021 Fatboy. Do not be bothered about comments of crosswind interference due to the wheels. Just know your counter-steering - so important.

I love this bike the only other bike I considered before I bought my Triumph. It just didn't ride as good on turn in, acceleration and braking power. But damn it's a badass looking bike.

I was looking for a used bike honestly fatboy was not necessarily on my radar because I personally hate the rims but I came across an’07 with low mileage and in excellent condition for a great price and I absolutely love this bike. If I was buying new it would be the heritage over the fatboy but if I was rich there would definitely be a fatboy in the fleet!

I'm surprised how comfortable those bars look and feel. I would usually prefer a set of shoulder high risers. It's the sort of bike I'd ride if I went onto a dealership for a Fat Bob and they said next week - today this is all we have, take it for a ride. I'm 5'8, I think of it as a big man's bike. Like a jockey on a Clydesdale.

I love my Milwaukee 8 107 street glide special, but the new CEO seems to be the guy to move HD into the 21st century finally. With the new Pan America & Sportster T I truly believe the days of hot air cooled motorcycles are over with unnecessary parts and still using 1950’s/1960’s technology. The new revolution max engine will definitely put Harley Davidson in the era of Cadillac smooth shifting and running bike going forward. If HD keep producing air cooled engines they will mirror the revolution max design but with fins, larger oil cooler, no pushrods and a gear drive primary.

I tend to lean more towards the Lowrider S or Fat Bob. I like a mid control, T bar setup. Feels a little more setup for aggressive riding. However the Fat Boy makes me wanna relax and slow down a tad, not a bad thing. haha

I have a '21 FB....on a very windy day when it's a cross wind, you definitely feel it and have to crab/lean to offset it. It's definitely a real thing, but also has to be very windy.

The main reason we don’t see many of Fat Boy on the road is: Fat Boy are only good on Straight Lines * Not made for Road you have to Turn \ Sharp Corners, never heard from any reviews where the riders aren’t complaining about handling The Tiers are too Flat Just like the original Sportster Roadster Tires Changing to the right Tiers makes it to a Much more enjoyable Ride - Not only in a Straight Line

Why do you need cruise control on a non-touring bike? I have a 2019 Fatboy and would never use cruise control if it had it.

Barack Blows good question… Have you ever gone for a day ride like let’s say 10 hours and you see a group of guys going down the road and half of them are shaking their hand because they fell asleep, if you’re on the bike for a couple hours at a time it’s nice to rest your throttle hand… For us older guys it’s a nice option

Wow that bike has a presence like no. Borsani 2 into1? I'd prefer a set of Harley shoulder high bar risers. Like you there isn't much I'd want to change on it. More of a Fat Bob rider myself. The other thing is I'm only 5'8...it looks like a bike for a taller, solid built rider.

Great bike, great review and I couldn't agree with you more on the moron who started to go, then stopped to let the guy in front of him go with no arrow, you could have not expected the guy to be a dope and rear ended him. For me personally, I'd prob tap out around 250-300 miles a day on it but you may be tougher than me! I'd definitely add bags to it though.

I rode an 883 from Dallas to league city tx in a night. That was a rough and terrible ride lol. Just wondering what the ride would be on this bike? Like softer suspension. I don’t mind the wind hitting the chest lol

Only thing I would change is the gauge. 2022 all of these HD bikes should have digital gauges.

You suggested exhaust, I assume Screaming Eagle and Tuner? No intake, to make it Stage 1? Worth moving to at least Stage 2 - Torque? Thinking of trading SLIM for this one, need to test drive it.

Hi, thanks for the video . I’m at a point where I’m going to buy a Harley over the next few months . Now I’m 5 ft 11 and about 175 lbs and I find the street Bob a bit cramped for my legs and I feel more comfortable sitting on a Softail . There seem to be mixed opinions amongst my friends on buying a Fat Boy as a first bike . I’m in Germany and the dealerships have sold out the Fatboy so I can’t test drive one but can order one . What is your recommendation for a new rider to buy the fat boy as your first bike after getting your license ? Thanks

It comes down to how comfortable you are on bikes. The power is only there when you ask it to be there. The weight is so balanced it's not much of an issue. Also be sure you don't by something you "grow out of" in 6 months and want to trade.

When you say “I like the cruisers too” literally that’s all Harley makes. Performance bikes are Ducati, BMW, Yamaha etc. Those are lightweight bikes designed to handle. Harley is a cruiser company. So they built a cruiser and didn’t put cruise on it. One of the coolest bikes ever designed and they didn’t put cruise on it? HD is really frustrating to me lately.

You can add slip ons with no problem. Otherwise you need a tuner anyway.

Hey I just bought this bike and my front disk rotar is flopping around I took it in and HD says it's normal only 200 miles on it

Flopping around? I think the fanboys have a floating rotor on the rear but I thought the front was a fixed rotor. If thats the case it shouldn't have any play in it.

The Fat Boy is the definition of a Harley cruiser to me. Has a good look and a good ride. Because of floor boards, tires, and lean angle I wouldn't consider it a bike to hit corners. But it does have the 114 so it makes plenty of power. If you just want something thats good for around town or day trips that on my opinion looks super clean, thats your bike for sure. If you think you'd want bags and a windshield I'd look at the Heritage. Much different look I know but a lot of value to be had.

Some were complaining about the floating discs being noisy .Maybe they have sorted that . Mine is a 2002 so does not have that brake system .

I an vexed he didn’t say the price. I went on a Harley Davidson dealers website and typed in $9000 as the max price and a 2021 Fat Boy 114 came out. I don’t believe it. I am a noob never rode anything over 250cc. I am not spending $20,000 on a bike that I will most likely drop especially since I can get a new car for $20,0000 if it’s under $10,000 I am sold. If not I will get a Kawasaki Vulcan S for $8000

Is there any after market platforms or a solution to the scraping i hear about ? This is a great looking bike i am 6ft2 265 pounds would this be a good bike for me ? I am new to this

The lean angle is what makes it scrape. Unless you're up in the mountings carving corners its rarely an issue if at all. At your stature I'd look at a touring bike though.

Yeah ..na wouldn't swapp my fat evo 94 even for a new one ..I rode new doesn't feel like your riding a harley or even sounds like one yeah its faster..nice bike tho
