Agree with everything you said except brakes. Ive already had a few close calls with 2019 heritage. Technically my fault, because I put myself in those situations. But still, the emergency braking is absolutely horrible. All that weight with only single-disc brakes. I asked Harley if they offered dual disc brakes as an option to install and they said no. They also said having a third party install dual disc brakes could compromise the integrity of the braking system in general. Def a bummer. But an awesome bike all around, wouldn't change it for anything.
@@captainchris93 change the brake material helps. I agree they are heavy bikes and duals would help. But I am a guy that started on a ‘ 72 chopped sportster that did not even have a front brake as it would cause you to high side LOL. More like cables were not available that long.
I have the 2020 114 opened up with pipes and a tune. The 114 comes stock with the bigger air breather. I was between this bike and a Road King, having owned a Road King several years ago. I definitely made the right choice. I can take this bike anywhere. Install the rear docking hardware and you can add a backrest, rack, Tourpack, etc. all of which easily detaches when you don’t need it. And the ride is unmatched. Comfortable, powerful, and responsive.
Hi Michael, just a quick question if I may. Did you find the heritage more comfortable that the RK, or was it on par? Appreciate any info brother. Decisions to be made regarding my next(and very first Harley) bike. I like doing long trips, solo,with camping gear. I'm 6'2, 108 kgs or so. Looking at the Roadking Standard, Electra glide Standard and possibly the heritage. I'm 61yrs young, so speed is not a requirement as I appreciate the scenery. Comfort IS a requirement though. Awesome review. I’ve been through three bikes in two NY riding seasons. I could never get completely confident in corners on my 18 Street Bob. Decided that a Heritage was probably my best bet. Buying a 2020 Heritage was the best decision I could’ve made! It truly is a confidence inspiring bike/ride and it even fits me better at just under 5’4 having the narrow primary cover really makes a difference at stops!!
I agree that Heritage Classic is one of the most comfortable and smooth. Now I do think your height and weight has a lot to do with your comfort level. If you are really tall and heavy you are probably better off with Road King or another Touring heavies like Electra Glide etc. If you are 6’ or shorter and lighter than 160 lbs, Heritage Classic is made for you. Heritage Classic is lighter, nimble and plenty of torque at all ranges. Also perfect for everyday commute and long distance cross country trips. I think they embody the best of both worlds. Kinda like a nimble, and sleek Arabian horses whereas Road Kings and heavy baggers are more like heavy warm bloods.

I always wanted a street glide but since it will be a first time bike the softail heritage is not too big or too small. I got a chance to test ride a heritage back in 2018 and it was very manageable. I’m 5ft 9 for reference
They’re so damn expensive!! We have 2 Harley dealers in my area and nothing else, so I’m considering either the heritage or the iron 1200. I would love to have a Honda dealership nearby. I had a shadow 750 ten years ago that I loved. I haven’t ridden anything in like 8 years, so I’m a little afraid to go straight to a new heritage.
Looks like you have the same color as my 2019. I really like the handling of this bike. HD did an excellent job when they changed the frame to a top mono shock. No frame twist or wobble in the curves. Plenty of power with the 114.
I started on a v star 650 5 months later I just got a 2007 heritage softail classic and man it's like riding a cloud everything about it is awsome. It has everything I wanted in a bike.
Seems like they put the heritage in the "touring" models group like one year. It's a softail, and doesn't have the touring model frame etc. can you "tour" on the heritage, absolutely.

I watched another video of someone riding the Heritage and he was scraping the floorboards like crazy. The lean angle concerns me but I do like the Heritage.
As per storing valuable items in the luggage compartment i would rather carry a back pack for that purpose. Your review on this awesome bike is point. I love Harley, i wish i could own one but the price of a new one is not in my budget not even the used bikes and their prices . One day i may be lucky and get one. Peace.
The way I see it Harley Davidson needs to upgrade their air/oil-cooled motorcycles and engines if they're still going to continue to build them. They need to get rid of the pushrods, the huge problematic primary chain, and the shifting clunk sound. Fan assisted oil coolers should be standard because these bikes are hot while in the city as all Harley riders know and understand. The new revolution max engine has changed the game in all the above while adding power and cutting weight as stated in the Pan America & the Sportster S.
Nice bike, but not considered a touring model (like a Road King, Street Glide, etc.), as it uses the softail frame, not a touring frame. It can be used to tour, but not as well as the H-D true touring bikes.
I had 2 Honda’s that were top heavy. Got on my friends Suzuki Boulevard, and the center of gravity was so low you couldn’t feel the weight. I really want a Heritage. Does it have a low center of gravity? I noticed you mentioned not feeling the weight of it. I just don’t want to get more bike than I can handle.
@@theinfinitryda I did it! I bought a Heritage with 16” apes. Feels great out on the road. My first bike with apes on it, so I need to practice my slow speed maneuvering, but I love it. Appreciate your review.
Heritage is not a touring bike it's a cruiser completely different frame from a touring bike now don't get me wrong I truly think the heritage is a great bike just not a touring bike

It is a softail you are correct but it has always been considered the entry level touring bike but since the last update it is now in the touring family. The Infinit Ryda I was just pulling your leg, a bit. There are fine US reviews on Harleys, yours among the good ones, but they all look too much the same, done at tame speeds, kind of soporific when it comes to demonstrating the bikes’ abilities. I just watched your review of the Heritage and the LRS. I liked them, but spirited riding was missing. Just saying
