Another Episode of the 76 Harley Davidson Ironhead Sportster Chopper Project where I finally get around to assembling most of the top end. I got my piston rings set in place, the gaps in postion, set in the cylinders in a most unorthodox manner, and managed to get the heads and intake manifold in place too.
It was also kind of a race against time as it looked like there was a wildfire headed my direction. So I figured if everything was going to go up in smoke, why not at least try to see how far I could get with the bike before everything incinerates. But in the end, everything turned out alright as a thunderstorm eventually pushed through and put out the fire.
In this video, you'll see my backward way of doing things, but that's just how it is in my shop when limited on the right tool for the job. Maybe it'll work in the end, maybe not. But thus far it's seemed to work out every time. Needless to say... This isn't a tutorial, so I didn't tell you to do it this way. Yours truly is NOT a professional... Just a knucklehead with wrenches and old bikes. Thanks for watching, and subscribe for more goofy material like this.
