The HD pan America is a great bike, but if your gonna use a non-HD tank bag, please beware of a safety issue. The tank bag support straps found on many tank bags should not be used in a traditional fashion at the front of the tank bag. View my video to find out why.

So you discovered that Harley did a good job on the tank bag! Also since the H-D bag has one strap with the male buckle and the other strap with a female you simply buckle them together so they don’t dangle.

I was considering the RK tank bad and decided to go with the Harley bag. Glad I did. Thanks for posting the video.

The Harley bag is sleek! But the RKA bag is so much more functional for me. With the FPS on top and the ability to keep my phone and cameras charged. And just enough room for a full size Glock sitting crossways

Why not use the available bracket for the Zumo XT that goes above the TFT display. There are several and I put one on made by a guy on Facebook in one of the Pan Am Groups.

seems to me the Grommet is a good choice Vs bare fabric... Just my two cents

Yea it is! But I dislike the Harley bag. And I’ve done it the other way for years and never had a problem. Fortunately, because I have the Harley bag, and it’s hardware, and a sewing machine, I modified the H-D straps to work for both my bags.

@@cfreeway8385 Honestly, I’m not a big fan of the Harley in Davidson Pan America Tank bag. I have pretty much removed it in favor of an hour RKA in charge tank bag
