Bought my 2018 Heritage 6 weeks ago in olive gold, rode today for the first 50 mile break in and all I can say is.. AMAZING bike love it! Have done all the add-ons as you Dale, except I have the touring pack, yet to be installed due to waiting on the mount. Also in 2 days I will finally get my Rinehart slip ons and install them. Your V&H's sound very very good!.I enjoy your videos keep up the great job! If anyone is considering the 2018 Heritage don't even hesitate.. get one and ride!
LOL! I just installed a set today and my face lit up just like yours did when I started it up! Video doesn’t really convey the sound like being there in person. Yeah! It’s loud but oh so satisfying and deep! Love it! 🤣🤣🤣
Did mine with optional quiet baffles. Still deeper sound and little bit louder than stock. Can’t hear them on highway unless using windshield or full face helmet.

I have a 2020 m8 deluxe softail and I would like to install slip on eliminator 300 too. do you think I have to do remapping for example with fp3 fuelpak..or do not need to remap? I would leave the original filter I just want to change the exhausts. my engine is 107 m8. hello see you soon
Hi I didn’t get mine remapped. When I spoke with the dealer they said if you change just the exhaust you are fine, if i changed both exhaust and the air filter then yes i would need to have a remap
Hey Dale. Can you tell me the size of those peg holders please? (1" 0r 1 1/2") Harley sent me some and they were (of course) the wrong size for my crash bar. It's a standard bar from Harley (like yours) Cheers, John
Hi Dale I would like to buy the eliminator 300 exhausts for my Deluxe m8. I just have a doubt. I have mounted the rear fenders and I would not like them to prevent the exhausts from being mounted. Do you think it will be a problem? thank you
Hi Dale! I bought the same slip-ons for my Fat Boy 2019, but i have a terrible problem now, mi bike smells a lot of smoke, and I noticed that there is a smoke leak betwen de union of the eliminator and the original mufflers, right where the clamp goes. Did you have the same problem? Thanks for your help. Regards.
Mark The Harley Nut hi, yeah they came with clamps, the dealer sold me some gaskets but as I never used them as I didn’t have to loosen the front pipes
Biceps&Bikinis thank you, if you are just changing the exhaust then no Ecu upgrade is required. If you are changing the air filter as well then you will need the upgrade. With regards cost they were £395 in the UK
Did you do anything to the air filter or add a fuel pack? If you just added the slip ons how is it running? Would also like to know brand I'd rider backrest in your other video. Picking up my new anniversary 114 Heritage in the next week.

Dale Leach Thanks Dale. Keep posting as you add more accessories. If you plan to do a syn 3 oil change post that as well. Seeing you do the exhaust and backrest has me excited to try those myself.
Other than sound, have you noticed the bike run any different with the slip ons? Harley recommends ECU tune even with just their slip ons and no intake, but of course Harley is trying to sell you more stuff and not pay another record fine to the EPA either.
raceboy1971 haven’t really noticed a difference in performance, when I spoke with Harley they told me I didn’t need an ecu upgrade if I was fitting either the exhaust or filter but did if I fitted both

uweyaa Hi no if you change just the exhaust you don’t need to do a re-map, if you change the air filter as well, then you will need to do a re-map. And yes after a long ride i did suffer with ear buzzing, but it might have been more from the wind noise
Hello Dale! Very nice video!! I've had this bike for 6 months and with so far 15,000 miles and I am considering installing the exhausts, I really like how the ones that you installed sound but what worries me is how much more gas it will use since i travel long distance a lot and sometimes I go several hours without finding a gas station so I wanted to ask you how much more gas it uses now with the exhausts installed than it used to before the exhausts?
Elizabeth Hernandez Hi thank you for your comments its really appreciated. If I’m honest i don’t know what the mpg difference is if any at all. As this is only a single upgrade I was told by my dealer that no remapping was required. If i was to fit an upgraded air filter with the exhaust at that point I’d need a remapping, so I’m guessing that there shouldn’t be a great deal of difference in fuel consumptions. Might with worth speaking with V&H
Steve Reinheimer Slip ons will not effect the warranty. Im adding short shots to my 2018 Deluxe. As long as you have Harley add a Screaming Eagle tuner with a full after market exhaust system, it will not effect the warranty.
anyone have a problem with a flat battery? there is a software problem that will need to be updated by the dealer, mines in next week a new battery and a download from milwaukee to send a new code to the ecu
I have the fp3 as well, dealer says go ahead and install it. But im not sure if I should, some HD forums say it will void the warranty. I will be installing a stage 1 air cleaner this weekend and the dealer did say it is a must to install a fuel management system. But if I install a screamin eagles fms its ok for the warranty. I guess it my scooter and I'll install what I want lol. No auto tuner necessary when installing slip ons, my rineharts vastly improved performance.
I should clarify, it is a must to install some sort of tuner when installing the stage one air cleaner. I will install mine in a couple days and the fps and update.

Dale Leach , I picked up my 114 Heritage last week in Twisted cherry. It comes with a high flow air system already on it, so I am thinking it will need to be turned after slip on's are installed.
