That bike is a monster, I'm doing similar with my 21, same tank set up, except with a full fender. So it basically has a Low Rider S longer rear fender with larger rear tire and front. I couldn't be happier with my 114, just needs a raise, length, and tank with the stage 2 and she's done
Honestly this should be a production bike from Harley. I wanted a softail standard but ended up with Slim forbthe gas tank. Now I'm stuck looking at those stupid balloon tires until I change them
What an absolute beauty of a bike! The white walls and the tank truly complement each other. I really love whitewalls but have always thought they wouldn't go with my green-gold FXBB. Congratulations to you on a piece of art! Also, did you just black out the front forks or put in new ones?
Bro ! Super nice bike man the tank looks sick ! I have a 2020 I also want to make it a vicla style I’m from San Diego Ca so it’s big over here usually people always go with club style on the fxbb. Do You know freedom exhaust has the dual fishtail for the fxbb? How is that saddlemen solo seat ? And please tell me how you went about changing the tank ? How much where you got it install etc. Id appreciate it thanks. 👍🏼🔥 also where did you buy the fork covers looks like they’re over seas ? What year is the tank from the slim ?
The Saddlemen is really nice for any rides 2-3 hours or less. After that you want a little lumber support. I’ve actually had the whiplash on full time for the last few months. As far as the tank swap goes, Gingybeard Man did a really solid guide video for switching out for a five gallon tank.
Thank you 🙌🏼🙌🏼. So the headlight ring I ordered isn’t sold from the same supplier on Amazon anymore, but there are a bunch of others on there. If it’s advertised for a 5.75in headlight, it should fit. If it’s like the one I got though, it might be a little loose so you might have to shim it.
Absolutely awesome build. Planning on going to harley tomorrow to order a new tank for mine. If you dont mind me asking what did you use to fill the slim gauge hole?
Believe it or not, that was a $6 wall protector I got from Home Depot that just so happened to fit perfectly inside the dash. I plan to have something fabricated to fit there at some point but this works for now.
Hey there! I wanted to ask! What's the link for the head light ring .. I know u said amazon, but theres so many verities that I have no idea witch would fit my street bob
So I recently tried to find it again on Amazon and the one I bought isn’t available anymore. But the fit is 5.75 inches so anything advertised for that should work in theory. Though, if it’s like the one I got, it might be a tiny bit loose so you’d have to shim it.
I tried to find the link to share but the specific one I bought off Amazon isn’t available anymore. However I checked and there are other brands making the same one. Just search 5.75 Inch Headlight Lamp Bezel Trim Ring. If you get one like mine, it might fit a little loose so you might just need to shim it.
It’s definitely possible. That was my plan originally but it was derailed by supply chain issues. You’ll have to buy new because a gauge will marry to your ECM after 30 miles.
@@marcogonzalez7323 Thanks alot, but its kind of plug n play, or you have to modiffy ? A New one Will Get the mileage from ecm, or you need a hd dealer to do so ? 🤙
@@marcogonzalez7323 Thanks, you help me alot , the gauge must be New, and i believe, hd original, not aftermarket…right? I promisse that’ll be my last question 😎
A year later and I’m still loving them. One recommendation I have though, you may want to knurl the mid section because I’ve had them slip a bit once or twice. Other than that, they’re super solid.
What tuner did you use? I'm getting the same pipes but I want to keep warranty. Just wondering if you used the SE tuner? And how it runs with the pipes.
Yea I did the Screamin Eagle. It runs nice with the pipes, gave me like 10-15% more power I’d say. Makes highway a little comfier vs stock that’s for sure.
@@kyleboone5980 yea, it actually has a deceptively deep pocket. I feel secure enough in it to ride on the highway. Again I wouldn’t recommend it for long trips though but I’d say it’s good for up to 5 or so hours of local riding with breaks.
Yea yea I know reflectors gotta go. Now that the big stuff is done I’m onto the little stuff so it’ll get done. I think I’ve done about 300 miles with the Slim tank so far.
@@adminadmin9997 I’m sorry I misread your last question. The slim tank gets about 180-200 miles per fill. And I’m gonna stick with the stock wheels for now. If I change it up, I’ll go with blacked out fat spoke wheels.
I’m 6’2” with 16” bars and they’re slightly too tall. 14”s are the way to go. The measurement is the straight bar not including the bends, so not actually top to bottom. The 16”s are more like 20”s in total.
The tank swap is easy if you have an extra pair of hands. Just a little messy getting the fuel out. I did buy a five gallon fuel pump. And it took several months but the bike eventually learned that the fuel capacity increased.
