Many companies tried to give competition to RE like tvs Ronin Honda RS350 YEZDI and Jawa But i believe real and tough competition is going to start now.. With launch of bajaj triumph and hero Harley. Really excited 🎉
Agreed. This bikes looks very well put together and matured when it comes to design unlike Ronin, YEZDI, Jawa, etc which are still long way to go when it comes to design.
If sold at Hero showrooms this bike could be a game changer. Thankfully it doesn't have forward set foot pegs like a crusier and has higher ground clearance which means its made with practicality and comfort in mind. 440cc is what the market needed especially for those that wanted to upgrade from 150-250cc but found 350cc segment underpowered. Might become favourite among tourers. Pricing will decide everything. If priced on-road above Rs. 3 lakhs people will and should buy Super Meteor or Interceptor instead.
This bike looks miles better than Honda CB twins and RE classic.Waiting to see other colour combinations and accessories as well..If the price is around 2.8 to 3.3 lakhs then its definitely going to challenge others..And kudos to the engineers at Hero and Harley for such a nice motorcycle..Waiting for the launch..
the bike looks beautiful. I would actually consider this instead of RE since 350 cc REs have become too common now. This looks like it can actually deliver value and performance. We need more competition in this price range because RE monopoly is not good for consumers.
It seems like Royal Enfield has abandoned plans for single cylinder 500cc Classic which is just what the market needs now. The 500cc would work really well in j-platform unlike the last generation.
There is not a lot of space for 500 classic, as they already have 650s and new 450 scram in pipeline. I always found that classic 350s are way under powered. So i bought new Interceptor 650.
@@55loves09 Yes 350 is underpowered so the solution would have been 500cc. 650 is just another bike and feel. Now it's officially confirmed that they are releasing 650 classic next yr, just saw road test video today. The sound feel, look and ergonomics of classic 350 are unmatched.
I already own bullet standard 350, was thinking to buy jawa bobber but Harley would be a nice replacement of RE. This bike needs a short custom exhaust and a fat rear tire, then it’s going to be hell of a head turner as it’s already all blacked out.
_’Certain Companies’_ were hurt in this video😂 The bike looks fantastic as you go from the front to the middle, & just then, it looks like the designers just wanted to wrap up the job & go home. The exhaust looks…..well, Hero has commuter bikes that have better looking exhausts. The rear looks ridiculously big with ludicrously small wheels/tires. Maybe it’s just the looks or the angle, but yes, not a good rear impression. Kind of looks like one of those numerous Chinese knock offs, especially from the back. Have to wait for the reveal. The Bajaj Triumph bike? That looks the REAL DEAL.
Man...I was about to buy CB350 or Enfield but now this is looking too good. The specs, the practical ergonomics, the pricing everything looks right to destroy the 350cc segment. I am waiting for this with high hopes. Day 1 review will make me decide. The only thing I might not like is the Harley name demanding extra price just like happened with BMW-TVS bikes.
Harley Davidson officially announces it's homosexual by joing budlight the spokes " person" for transgenders Next they will be trying to groom children.
@@sakalasiva Pricing not yet revealed but expecting it to cost 1 lakh less than Super Meteor. Super Meteor is not suitable for India as it has only 135mm ground clearance and very stiff suspension. That engine is also known for overheating and mileage is less than Tata Safari. So it's suitable for European countries where oil is cheap, roads are good and climate is cold.
My doubt whether its a long stroke oil cooled engine..As in Xpulse I dont think a long stroke engine is coming.Xpulse engine will be liquid cooled as well...So I think they may have reengineered the engine in a way to suit it cruiser friendly..Will have to wait and see whats the actual scenario..
I remember Jehan in his initial days when he used to search for words in a review & i see him now.. He has surely improved as an auto journalist. As is the case for Varun Painter.. From being our Ali Bhai to this firm & composed guy.. the change on both of these gentlemen is worth applauding
They are just twin cylinder Benelli bikes with Harley badge and costs double. Those bikes have nothing Harley about them while this was made from ground up with involvement from Harley Davidson of USA.
if you see a bandwagon, it's too late. the RE classic is a genuine piece of machinery - these are wannabes. that said, i like the way the motorcycle world is heading these days with these lighter, more nimble and stylish bikes.
Indeed. The Classic 350 seems to be a mature product with a cohesive design derived from RE's long history. This so-called Harley-Davidson seems like a cobbled together school garage project. It's as if the decision makers at HD have some contempt for the buyers they are targeting with this bike. HD has history with single cylinder engines. They could have referred to their archives for designs. Instead, they apparently outsourced the design of this bike to a team that has no experience designing Harleys.
I confess I can't understand the long term goals of HD. In one side of the world they are trying to be the "Rolls Royce of motorcycles", and ultra premium brand, and in the other side, they are partnering new, smaller bikes for beginner and intermidiate riders, like many critics say that what they should be doing worldwide, in other to renovate their public. It's like it is two completely different companies.
They are actually trying to target youngsters with such collabs and make them addicted to the brand and hence gain some customers when youngsters become middle aged that's called age price marketing
@@zakengalsulkar5778 simply because it has cost with no surety on return on investment with Hero they will reach places which will be very rare for the new brand to reach
I have a serious question. If i buy a motorcycle that is bs6 phase 2 E20 compliant this year (2023), then how long can i use it before the government puts a hard ban on it? Heard fossil fuel two wheels are likely to banned in next 5 years.
I believe its the same engine that will come with Xpulse as well. Thats interesting, because that would make them qualify for Dakar as well, hence I think xpulse 440/450 will be a superbly capable motorcycle.
I thought you referred to Honda Highness but who haven't quite made a dent as they traded the engaging feel of the Meteor for better mileage with taller gearing, and priced higher.
Pls necessarily cover the touring gear that would be on offer at the sales outlet itself...This is a grey area amongst most bike manufacturers, who make worthy touring bikes but compel the buyer to hunt for travel accessories in Karol bagh or elsewhere
Only thing in its favour in comparison to RE Classic is its brand value and engine power, nothing else. RE Classic is still ahead in look and resell, finally ahead
Companies trying to copy R.E roadsters probably QJ motors SRC 500 Honda H'ness CB 350 Yezdi roadster Although, RE was the only brand in INDIA which actually survived itself with retro looking roadster motorcycles which it had , like the classic 350 or bullet, till us millennials came to age. So now i think when other manufacturers are starting to venture into the same space as R.E are they really trying to copy it! Just a thought Jehan.
That's QJ motor's X500 in partnership with Harley Davidson and now it's rebranded as Harley Davidson in partnership with Hero in India. That's insane. It's a Chinese bike after all. Lmao 🤣🤣🤣
I would suggest you to please do your research before posting such bizzare comments Landwind looks like Range Rover that does not mean Range Rover is Chienese
Overall this would sell at Duke 390 price point it would be more tilted towards 2.9 lac to 3.25 lac on road depending on the various paint schemes and personalization options which will have with this bike overall, don't forget the H-D logo because this would charge premium just like what Adidas and Nike do with their products,
I was a big Harley fan from my childhood wanted to buy one but I can’t imagine hardly with a single cylinder so might be a big no for me let’s see what they offer.
Looks wise this looks like many other bikes already in the market. This maybe bought by people who want to own a Harley in a comparatively affordable price ( if it's actually in 2.5 lakhs price range)
Rebel 350 is far better than this and if you want a higher capacity engine interceptor 650 would be great !! I wish harley could have used a bit tech in it ! If this bike comes under 3 lakh this bike can rock the market
RE meteor 650 would smash this in looks. You are paying purely for the fact it says HD on it. I've had two Harleys. I did enjoy them but they are a money pit.
Price wud b a telling factor for this bike. Will Hero be able to crack the American ego of high value products and start a partnership like they did with Honda? Is HD willing to take cheap sub continent market?.... Long way to go... .. BTW...REs are like LIC, Colgate or Amul Butter. Miles ahead to catch... So interesting to see if HD has the stamina for this long race.
Single cylinder 440x instead of 350x twin cylinder. Seems like the time that I've waited for a long time is going to be wasted again like xr155 and cbr 250rr. I dont know why we hardly received the original form in our country, but i know for sure that it's all about business. 😢😢
It mostly remembers me Benelli imperialle 400 and splendor together. Am loosing most of the Harley tough looks here. Even the smallest harley 750 street had it's big brothers feel and look this literally lacks it. I prefer street to be back with this engine atleqst
Honestly it doesn't look like a Harley Davidson bike at all... it's like a prematurely born baby.... Forget about competing with the RE Classic/Bull.... Good luck...
This is the dumbest idea I have ever seen .... Harley Davidson should have partnered with Royal Enfield and used the 650 engine and built a WLA WW2 650 . . With a monoshock rear suspension and two seats like how PPL are making for the triumph bobber. Two lazy company's that make slow under powered heavy bikes . Or take the CF Moto's 450 twin and make a WLA WW2 bike.
