I'm loving the bike so far. I've been wanting to build one forever. You have a lot of good ideas like in this episode with the led lighting, cant have to much light going down the road at night.
I just caught up to all your videos. I started my own sportster project this year. And wish I had started videoing it. Really excited to see what direction you take ur sportster. Much love for the little bike. Love from Tennessee!
Sounds like a great idea! But I tossed all the packaging. Oh well. Not the end of the world. Bike is coming along really good! Love your content, keep it up! Hope to hook up one day, I’m about 3 hours north of you.
Electrical work on bikes are my favorite part. Mostly because no one really does it well enough and I dig the challenge of doing some really good harnesses.
Dude, just throwing my 2 cents worth all the way from Melbourne Australia. The bike looks so much better with the fairing off. BTW Love watching your vids and also you Miss Bird!
Hi, first of all I would like to thank you for doing all these dyna build series, it has been very entertaining to watch and helpful. I have a question regarding to the harness kit you got from Rouge Rider. I installed mine with the light bar recently, everything works great, but the little red illuminated switch light stays on. Is it normal for that light to stay on? That little light probably won't kill my battery over time right ? Thanks again !!!
I just ordered the front LED turn signals for my 16 road glide. Thanks for the great video and because of it i went with Lumenx. one question, did the clear lens come with or did you have to buy those else where???
yeah i went on amazon yesterday and bought some. I will say i did contact Lumenx via email and asked about the lenses and they responded by calling within 30 min. great customer service. and my lights have already shipped...
where did you end up mounting the light switch for the light bar? I really need the extra light out front so i've been looking into light bars for my dyna
hey bro, just about to order some led front turn signals and a light bar for my 48 from RRI, can't wait to get them hooked up, looks so good. Just out of interest, what led light panel are you using for your videos that you can see in the background at the 12:15 mark? I could do with grabbing something like that for streaming with... thanks man!
Hey man just sold my sportster and got a dyna! Will be using your videos for building it up. Quick question, where did you get the Harley logo decal on the side of the tank? Thanks!
Did you have to add any modules for the blinkers? I tried LED’s before and I had to add a module because I got hyper flash. It looks awesome by the way! Nice job!
Great vid thanks, is the switch coming with on/off light, so when the light bar is off, the off light is activated in the switch? Is that creating a problem running out your battery? Thanks
So if you only install the led headlights and led turn signal do you need to add a wiring harness or equalizer? I don’t wanna cause any electrical issue but love the look
I'd have to take a look at how the headlight bolts on as I haven't worked in that area on my iron in some time but theoretically all you'd need is a vertical hole somewhere near the triple tree
never showed where you actually plugged into? which accessory plug? i have been installing an led bar and it only works straight to the battery, everytime i put a switch with an inline fuse it blows the fuse..without the fuse the wire gets hot as hell after the switch..2 days now man..luv your vids but the world of dyna enthusiasts need to know what plug do you plug into the accessory plug.(4 prong) for a light kit from anywhere without having to cut or go directly to the battery...THANKS IN ADVANCE..hope this makes sense..struggling like a MOFO in Cleveland!!
Bloody hell thats a lot of wire to tuck in that turn signal But Damn it’s Bright , very cool ! . Most of it can be balled up 😮😂! I bet you don’t suck as much as me at soldering 😂😂 ! Nice though ! 👍👍🍺🍺🥃🥃👊
Would like to purchase these turn signal lights rather than Custom Dynamics due the front signals LEDs all being lit either amber or white. Only problem is my 2012 FXDC has amber lenses for amber rear turn signals not red like these are. Not sure if the amber in back is a legal requirement like it is for the front turn signals. The Custom Dynamic lights for the rear are amber like the original rear signals are.
Bike N' Bird Thanks. I love in Missouri. The cars around here have red brake lights and back blinkers. Not sure why the bikes eould have to be amber either.
Great video as always! Do you have any issues with light reflection from your front blinkers on the inside of your windscreen while riding at night? Thanks!
Cool not sure if you buddy said anything yet . But mine hate my led tail like. They said they can not tail when I'm stopping cause the lights are so brite. Ok question way is blure tape over your speed odometer???
The Blue Bike & Doyle The blue painters tape on the speedometer is to remind him that there is tape covering his license plate. Cops don't like covered plates.
BnB, I just put these lights on my 07 Street Bob and now my fuel gauge doesn’t read the amount of fuel, my oil pressure light is constantly on, and my check engine light is on. Did you experience anything like this or do you have any idea why this may be happening?
Hey brother, I went to my local HD dealer the other day - they replaced the load equalizer and everything is good to go now - the LED's, light bar, day maker and LED turn signals were too much or the ol lady I guess, got her running right now though man. Thank's again for your videos and the communications. Keep it up dude.
Yo looks nice bro.i want to to change the signals to led on my 2017 street rod but the lenses wont come off seem to be a sealed unit on the street rod.any tips or advise bird.surley the lenses would need to come off to change the bulbs if they needed changed right???
+HDRIDER jamie at first glance they look to be the exact same style so yes they would have to come off. You've gotta find that tab to insert the screw driver into. It wont pop off just grabbing it with your hands
Bike N' Bird thanks for the reply bird.yeah iv found the tab and tried it with the screwdriver just won't pop off.managed it no problem on my sportie but the rods putting up a fight bro thanks again
Must check ur pin signal on rear first, for 1156 for single pin, 1157 have double pin like rear signal, if single, runing light would not work only signal will work
@@BikeNBird After 1978, motorcycles must be equipped with at least 1 and not more than 2 head-lamps that turn on automatically when the engine is started and remain lighted while the engine is running. some stupid california law not sure where youre located
Running one wire under the dash is super easy. Way easier than lifting the tank up to run one wire. As for the switch location, it's on the left side in front of the fuse box under the tank on the frame.
Bike N' Bird I have never took my tank this bike with it being Fuel injected you need a tool to take the tank off. I did raise it enough to change plug wires .
This build is kinda weird man, is it a club style bike or stunt or just a rider? I'm not sure what ur going for man. I love most aspects of this build but some are just tacky looking.
