Hi Del, I have watched your videos for a long time since you were back in the first garage with the moister problems and then building the rat rod camping trailer. And i just want to tell you that I miss your commentary and explaining things. Not really sure why you stopped maybe because some not so nice person had some not so nice things to say. IDK but you should just be you. You have so much knowledge and passion about motorcycles you can pass on to people its a shame that you don't explain more. Like the reverse threads or the special socket you need for the compensator nut. or the process you used to get the old one off. Any ways Thanks for the video I appreciate all the effort you put into it.

Hi David, thank you so much for your kind words of support and your long term loyalty. There have been some dramatic changes over the years, not only is our Channel different to what it used to be, but You Tube itself has changed so much... there are toxic people who freeload off others and berate the work of well intentioned content, but also we've endured many personal changes over the years, not least my health most notably. And of course with 1,500+ videos online, there aren't many things we haven't covered, and explained, in detail multiple times. Sometimes we find it's well recieved and popular to just 'get on with the work' and cut out the waffle and let viewers enjoy the visual. Thank you again for your kind support.

@Moonfleet41
@Moonfleet41 7 месяцев назад
As regards belt life, if you look after it and ride considerately, Harley claim as much as 100k miles, but I doubt this, the belt will decay more with age, so you'd need to be doing that mileage quickly and not over 20yrs, but in reality and the 'real world', 50k isn't difficult and 70k if you ride carefully! It's all about how you treat it... Thanks for your kind words on the video, your'e right, it was a very long day!

@loddude5706
@loddude5706 7 месяцев назад
I guess at the factory then, they just stand a new belt on the floor & go from there - the bike itself becomes mere 'mechanical-cladding' for it's own 'Toothy-Twangset' final drive system. Given the hours & ramp-space involved, I suspect most main-dealer prices for a swap-job could well 'refer you to your mortgage provider' - if they've 'the time' to do it in the first place! Once invented, 'The Acme Snap'n'Grab belt-splicing kit', should make some serious dosh! : )xx

I believe the Harley stealers charge over £1000 for a belt change on a road king

Hi Penny and Del - great video! Criminy - what an extraordinary pain in the ass that job is - I think I am starting to understand why you converted your other Harley project to chain drive! Nevertheless, you have tackled the job with your usual skill and aplomb... well done! Take care, dear friends. Ride safe, be well!

Hope all interested parties are satisfied with the outcome of this disagreement. Absolutely certain that the owner of the E Glide is over the moon with the care, quality, and competence of your repair work. Great video! Kudos on some tricky camera challenges met! And brilliant editing, as always!

I dont like ASMR because i dont know what it means! I refuse to research its meaning because it's something to do with young people! 😂😂😂😂 And just to go full Alf Garnet, is that the same bike or another one ? Those bleedin' Harleys all look the same to me! Gotta go, I've got the local scouts on the roof, its Bob a job week! 😉 ✌️❤️🤗

Nicely Done. I had to look up what ASMR meant, never heard of it. I guess they figured out who was going to pay for the repair ?
