Yes sir your on the right track. Make sure there are no leaks run the 185 then change the heat range on that plug. I was told and in practice I've found if you get that lean snick go up a size until it doesn't so your as lean as you can be without being too lean. Definitely a good sounding bike just need to find the right bowl of porridge where it's just right.
Honestly, in my experience the sneezing is due to leaky exhaust. But as you have drag pipes, it can only be around your exhaust spigots if that’s the case.
