Great idea!! I plan to do this again because I think the type of grease on the rollers it the problem. I'm going to switch a lower temperature non-lithium base.
my 4 speeds always chatter.. love a old school bike sound ..lets me know that the plates are not stuck together...So i"m trying to follow what your looking for associated to your lead in to the video..your thinking was the chatter was from the trans oil ?? also noticed your running with anti chatter plates which helps some times.. its common on 4 speeds to leak vary hard to seal up but it's possible for a short period of time..80w/90 common . your book cover it..if ya haven't seen tatro's videos ...take a look at his 4 speed rebuild lots of info.fast response to questions as well.keep her running ... fun shit..
I thought oil or grease had worked its way into the friction surface causing it to chatter. There was excess grease but that didn't talk it all away. Clutch always works better when warm. Yes, you are right. The manual says to use engine oil in the trans. (50 to 70 w). Leak has slowed down a lot. I've seen Tatro's videos. Very helpful.
