Wow, Ivy is really into Catwoman. She's attracted to confidence, even in people who hurt her sometimes. No wonder she fell for Harley, who believed in her and is confident she can take on any obstacle in her path.
Harley never intended in hurting her in the ways she did, she just didn't know how to go about certain things with ivs. Catwoman is very manipulative in her work and her words, so she can be more than able to hurt ivy with her sly and smooth ways, and unfortunately ivy won't realize it till after the deed was done. It can be the same for the harleyvand ivy dynamic.
Funny how Ivy comes off as cool and confident but when Catwoman is around, she kind of turned into Harley in wanting to seek her approval and making a fool of herself.
Honestly I like this version of harley more. I've been seeing the old shows and I think it's better to have her not get constantly abused and be the butt of the jokes all the time. Finally she's confident and not being abused
I love how ivy is dumping toxic waste on those guys over a large body of water as if the chemicals won't just fall into the water after if washes over those men
Certainly a bit of irony there, Ivy dumps toxic waste on those guys over a large water source to where it is most certainly going to run in there. Kind of ruins how she made them suffer when she sort of did the same thing.
@@documenting1734 I'm not sure how to feel about it. On one hand the conversation is sweet but it's being juxtaposed with a group of terrified men being melted by acid. That makes it really uncomfortable to watch so I'm not sure if I like or hate the scene.
@@tomnorton4277 I completely agree, it’s a satirical contrast of chaos and destruction mixed with a soft loving moment. To me, it was a good way to develop their character traits in two different ways. The scene is able to introduce a new side of Harley and Ivy’s relationship, while also not straying away from the blatant ruthlessness both characters possess. But yes, it’s horrifying, and I totally understand why you’re on the fence. I’m glad you responded! This is a fun topic to discuss! Especially since the show is filled with conflicting moments like this.
“Babs” is actually Barbara Gordon AKA Batwoman/girl that’s what the whole grow out of Batman phase was about and why Harley said she awoken something in her
@@foxbear1749 I know what Babs means, I meant they were using her batman obsession as an analogy/ a joke about having a gay awakening, Ivy taking the position in the conversation of a woman waving it off as a phase from when they were younger, and Ivy seeing it as potential for a real awakening of interest in the same sex. Which is really funny and poignant because Ivy later struggles with this as she deals with her inner turmoil over her newfound feelings for Harley in Season 2.
I like the change in Harley's voice when she says "kill the Riddler". She sounds excited when talking about the rest of the plan but she says that bit as though it's just an afterthought and the least interesting part of the whole thing. She's more excited about espionage and partying than killing Riddler and she spares him because I don't think she ever really wanted to kill him in the first place. She admits to Darkseid later in the season that "all I've been doing is reacting" and says that getting revenge on the Injustice League is something that she's only doing because she doesn't know what she actually wants.
Kite-Man. Secret identity: Charles Brown. Charlie Brown, a super-villain with a kite motif. Peanuts Charlie Brown: obsessed with a kite-eating tree. DC Charlie Brown: . . . well, you know . . . .
Foggy The Hippo Harley and Ivy are girlfriends in multiple issues, married in Bombshells Issue #79 and Injustice 2 Issue #70. In Harley Quinn And Poison Ivy Issue #6, the real Ivy comes back to life and is pissed bc one of her cuttings came back in her place and was pretty much dating Harley. Ivy loves Harley so much that not even a version of herself can be with her 💀💀💀💀 And is Ivy thinking about Charles while all of this is going on? I think tf not 💀💀
3:18 Sara Lance: Hey, ladies, i'm the one who does the cool send-offs...although that one's not bad Ivy: Nope. Nope, nope, nope... Harley: Iv? Ivy, come on, we could use a third woman while on the campus Ivy: Nopity nope nope, I am not going anywhere with Zombie Assassin Cop Child Sara: Whoah, hey, I'm alive, not undead. And my dad doesn't know too much about what I do now Ivy: You kicked my ass several times and even squished my dandelion Harley: Ooooh, sorry Lance, you're not coming
I don’t know why, but I always imagined this version of Ivy as black or middle eastern. Her facial structure fits more with those ethnic backgrounds. She genuinely looks like she’s bleached her skin here.
@@ConfusedRicola demo in GameStop when I went, it kid of reminded me of a mix of saw, gears of war, and Halo. Something is twisted In me and I found it cute.
My frickin favorite scene of season 2 is when Harley get confronted twice. Once by Gordon and once by para demon lord dark side and they both say (fairly the same thing) dark side said “I sense a great pain in you, an anger born from a want.” Which Harley denies but we all know what she wants anyways Gordon said “Feels like you’re over compensating for something.” Then Harley ofc rages lol my favorite scene of season 2 episode 8😂 Edit: Also Cy saying “It’s like Nam when the US pulled out” and his insides of his glasses are fire 😂😂😂😂
completely animated so there's nothing to really think about but i like that harley has a cool winter tone complexion and ivy has an olive complexion. Bc for all i know they used the same makeup for green and white base skins.
Looks at pos board of directors that allows dumping of toxic chemicals in enviornment, sees destroyed plants, animal life, cancers and other horrific things done to fauna and nearby humans. Looks as pos directors again. Meh don't feel a thing enjoy your misery.
Ok I get why she's killing them that way but the waste is still going in the water and their throwing the empty barrels back into the water instead of removing them. Just saying you can kill them AND save the environment.
