Well, is not a rat or "semi-rat", is a shiny beautiful bike btw. You need to trip thousands of miles to convert it to rat style. Beautiful machine, btw.
nice work! but one thing you proly heard a million times you need to set the idle up on it you are not carrying enough oil pressure at that idle speed, very hard on that engine and especially with it being air cooled the oil pressure is even more critical. the old HD engines had slower idle, but Evo turn it up if you want to keep it.. sounds cool but not healthy.
Hello, I just bought a similar tank and petcock, how do i get them to work with the stock carburetor? Do i need the second line on the petcock or the line from the stock tank?

If you change normal ignition system to Dyna S ignition system and delay the ignition timing slightly, you can get the potato sound. It is not so difficult.
Rulo79, That's a nice question. That is just a painting, so I've never damaged them at all. I painted mat black and dark red of distemper paint with a sponge on the new parts. You can see some instruction videos on RU-vid. Check them with key words of "Rust Painting" or "Rust Effects".

Ah, stray mouse, I have been looking all over for you.I was wondering if you would share with me where you got those oak leaf decals? Are they in or out side? If outside, how do you apply them? Stray mouse I write every few months and I appreciate your advice, but on those window inside oak leaf decals, could yo tell me what kind of adhesive you use to hold them to metal,gives enough time to work the bubbles out. What type of over coat do you use. Oh,Oh are you coming out with another project? I would love to fallow your progress.
Paste should be attached to the decals originaly, so stuck the decals on the tank and paint clear urethane paint on it. That's it. If other paints are applied, it will come off by gasoline.

The sticker(decal) has paste from origin, so you just stick them on the tank, and then paint clear urethane paint on it. That's it. OK?
