A big part of that is that it’s such a departure from their previous records. Sure things evolve, but take a layered song like Rocket and then compare it to now…doesn’t even sound like the same band, including the vocals. Not saying it’s bad, just saying it’s very different.

For some reason I feel this one will actually be better on record… 🤷♂️ usually Billy craps em up in the studio, but maybe this one might benefit from the studio treatment… maybe it sounded better in the arena, and this video just doesn’t do it justice?
This is just more bland repetition. I guess this is what happens when you get surrounded by yes men in your old age. no one challenges you on how boring your efforts are.. This sounds like it was made in a morning and rushed to get done so they could all break for lunch. what is going on.. It is all about quantity now. . This wouldn't even make a B-side in the 90's.

Yeah like nothing is good for them...even certain songs that could of easily been in the Mellon collie era or aeroplanes box set. Its ridiculous oh well....either way they still fuckin rock!
It doesn’t sound like a sequel to either of those from the songs previewed so far with the exception of “empires” which is quite close to machina vibes imo . It looks to be a varied collection of songs that will have some nods to those albums but it won’t feel as a continuation to those albums. Probably a trilogy of its own character .
