IMPORTANT Update: I successfully repaired the membrane using simple glue and tissue-a method widely discussed in various DIY membrane repair videos. However, I accidentally damaged the flexible cable that controls the touch sensors while removing the transparent part of the speaker. It dropped slightly when I flipped it after unscrewing everything from the bottom. So, please be cautious and give it a try to fix the membrane of your own speakers if that's the issue. I also managed to bypass the on/off touch sensor by directly routing a cable out. Now, I'm enjoying great sound again, though it's a bit less aesthetic. Cheers! Same mines been like that for some time and finally going to replace old torn speakers to give it new life. I love mine too and could not get rid of it lol sounds so good
@@interstellarM81 Please check on youtube for speaker membrane repare DIY is super easy and since the aura membrane is behind the cloth part, any changes in color or texture after repair wont be noticeable. just be careful when dissasembling the transparent part to not pull the flex cable that controls the touch sensors part of the speaker. (I was "careful" but it broke easily)

Hi I was curious would you know what could cause the aura to turn off after playing for like 5 to 10 min? I couldn't figure it out. If you could point me to the right direction that would be a lot of help.
Harman kardon speakers are very good quality, they do often have issues with speaker surrounds however with age. I replaced my surrounds and they have never had an issue since. I have also had issues with the surrounds on my old apple pro speakers for my G4 cube (made by hk) and my soundsticks, all of which are fine with new surrounds now.
