Harman Kardon Onyx studio 6 vs JBL Xtreme 3 sound showdown. 

Right, cause teens are spending $400 on a speaker. I think it's more accurate to assume the Extreme 3 is geared more for outdoor use, by the pool, in the garage, camping, taking to the beach, bike rides, family activities, etc. The Harman Kardon, handle or no handle, looks like it should sit in the corner of the living room and never move.

hahaha me and my gf bought these… she prefers the extreme (she’s on her 20’s) and i get the HK Onyx (decades older than her 😂😅🤣) my onyx stays at home for quality music while having quality time and her extreme goes with us outdoors.. 😂

Cost? They're the same price. If the "handbag" design isn't to you're liking, there's the Harman kardon citation 200. Onyx and citation both murders the Xtreme in sound quality

But the superior product (HK) is made in Worthing, Sussex, England. And the inferior PRODUCT (JBL) is made around 6/7,000 miles east or west, in California or China, depending on the product.

@@fhranzis067 Yep, the Xtreme 3 is not extreme at all hahaha. They should’ve named the Boombox 2 the Xtreme instead, as it sound pretty much exactly the same as the Onyx Studio 6 whilst being able to play way louder. Some people may find the Studio 6 and the BB2 too bass heavy, and I get their point, but it’s a matter of taste. To me their deep bass is really pleasant to listen to. The Xtreme 3 is just a speaker that sounds ok, nothing extreme like the name suggests. And actually, at higher levels, it sounds rather thin and gets this weird lower treble boost at 6 kHz, just like the original Boombox, which sounds just terrible. Luckily the second Boombox doesn’t have this and bass improved a lot, so now the BB2 sounds pretty much the same as the Studio 6, and I love their sound signature!

@@jblking3896 harman is boomy. People say that jbl is boosting too much bass on low volume, harman just made it worse. The jbl goes way louder while still remaining enough good bass while the harman cannot compete anymore

@@shoerice5083 I have both a Onyx 6 and Charge 5. I prefer the bass on the Harman. The mid and upper bass is nearly the same on both speakers in my opinion, but you definitely get allot more depth on the Harman. Harman Kardon doesn't have boomy Bass but rather deep humming bass. In DLX Willingtons recent video, the Onyx 7 is nearly similar to the JBL Partybox 710 on lower volumes.

@@jblking3896 ofc the harman is better than the charge 5 with bass. Its way bigger and costs more and is comparable only to the xtreme line up.. Its like comparing the partybox to an xtreme.

@@jblking3896 i have the xtreme 3, and lemme tell ya, it rocks. It also has an eq now on the official jbl app and you can make it even louder and have more bass at max volume and lower volumes. A perfect speaker with a wide stereo image
