Grab the tab here: www.harmonica.com/blues-harp-... Big Walter Shuffle. One of my favorites. Memorable licks, notes played using the rolled R, fast tremolo effect, all of these and more define Big Walter’s style.
I am so glad I hit this video today.....always loved Big Walter, I have been playing for 40 years, I just learned a lifetime of good technique in one video.
The harmonica is a massive instrument.. Fully capable of any job by itself or in a band. That is what you make obvious. There are no apparent weaknesses in its versitility... So good that if you were playing guitar in a band with someone like you, it would be very freeing. I just bought a set of Hohner Blues Jarps and have just started to see what is out there to learn from. I just got my head around the reality of bending the reeds half step, whole step, plus. Yall sound so good and I want to be able to bend it with precision and purpose.
The -3' -2 -3' -3'' -2 -3'' 3 2 3 2 3 2 line is a worthy exercise on its own, getting it cleanly up to speed. Simple, yet tough to play in tune alternating between half-step bend and clean on 3 and 2, and then full-step bend and clean on the same holes, and still maintaining a consistent shuffle rhythm. A great little nugget for practice!
i dont mean to be so offtopic but does anybody know of a trick to get back into an instagram account?? I was dumb lost my password. I would love any assistance you can offer me

hi Alex from Italy, congratulations and thanks for this beautiful lesson and congratulations for your sound and technique, it's perfect. It would be really cool for us to have the backing track that you initially play on. Do you know how to find it? could you share it? ❤
Hi Alex, thanks for this great lesson. Easily the best video to learn Big Walter's Boogie :) Just wondering if you could share the link to the backing track that you used in the video. Much appreciated. Thanks again :) Cheers!
Thanks a lot Alex. You are a very clear teacher. Would you please give the link to the backing track you used for this , in order to train on it as well ?
Thanks for sharing this... Super well explained man... Have you a video on Sonny Terry style... Because I guess you can do It and explain it very well...
Hallo Alex thanx a lot for your tutorial. I stuck on lick at 4:30 min. -2“ -2 -3‘ - -3‘ -3“ -2 -3“. and so far... do you using Toung blocking in this moment?
Not really, it's all pretty clear. What he leaves out is tongue blocking techniques and some hands stuff. Pulls, slaps, flutters. If you tongue block, it shouldn't be an issue.
