Thanks so much for the TAB....this tune always sounded too hard to figure out. I've been at it for 5 minutes now and it's not so hard at all. Cheers

Thanks a lot Grey Owl. Really wanted to learn that intro for ages but never got round to it. Now I've got it down I wanna rip Work Song on stage.

Work Song was written by Nat Adderley, not Paul Butterfield. It was later recorded by the Cannonball Adderley quintet, featuring an up-an-coming young trumpet player named Davis.

"More" is taking over. Not long ago it would have been the simple " slower" but now we get " more slowly". Whose bright idea was that.

A very late question to a vid posted 7 years ago: the more I listen to PB's version, the more I hear a full step 2 bend, not a half step. Grey Owl, does this make sense? Thanks for your response, and a cool, video lesson. Adios.

Well spotted! I was playing the full step draw bend on 2 but had written a single bend on the tab. I have amended the tab accordingly. Thanks

Sorry if this is such a beginner question but are you playing in 2nd position?

Amazing lesson! I don't play harp myself, but after watching you play, I think I want to try it out. I have one question though; how do I transform the key of the harp to the guitar? Since I suspect that the key on the harp isn't the same on the guitar. Thanks.

If the guitar is in A, count up 4 steps and use your D harp. That applies for every key and every match, assuming your are playing in 2nd position, as Butterfield did. Guitar in G, use your C harp, etc.
